Which Final Fantasy has your favorite soundtrack?

My favorite has to be Final Fantasy X because the quality of the music is great and does not sound too outdated. The songs sound diverse and the performance and dedication is amazing for just one little game.

Final Fantasy XII. Some of those tracks are spine-tingling epic.

i liked FF 4(ff2 on snes), FF6, FFX-2, FF8

13-2 because of it's Clash on the Big Bridge and final boss tune.

Was also some other nice bits and bobs in that game.

FF8 for me. It's very grand and spans action, love, and dramatic themes.

My second place is FF X. Another grand score with memorable songs.

Final Fantasy X by far. It's not even a contest. IMO, FFX is the only FF whose soundtrack transcends video game music. The songs are so gorgeous and exotic.

Final Fantasy VIII's OST is a distant second.

Has to be a tie between FF7 and FF10 for me. All the others while had great soundtracks just didn't capture that special place in my memories =D

It's between FF7/FF10/FF13. I love FF13-1/2. The music is so relaxing, I can just browse the menu for an eternity while reading the tid bits of story lore. It gets alot of hate because of the auto-battle, but I just don't use it. I think it's my favorite in the series next to Final Fantasy 12, with Vahn. That game had an incredible battle system, with the gambit system. Very complex, loved setting up the perfect gambits. Although FF9 had the best theme song in the series, I would just sit on the Start Screen and listen to it everytime I booted it up.

Every Final Fantasy I've played has good music, especially FFIV-FFX, but I really think FFX takes the cake. While I think FFXIII, and FFXII have some pretty good music it just lost some spark in it all. It just hasn't been as good.
