Which franchise have you never touched, but would like to start playing.

I for one have never played any of the Final fantasy games. It is the 4th biggest franchise in the industry and i would like to get into it. There are so many FF games out that I wouldn't know where to start. I'd just like to ask fellow gamers what final fantasy game would you recommend. I'm assuming the games don't have their stories linked.

Also, what franchise or game have you never touched, that everyone seems to talk about but you would be interested in playing. Such as Halo, Resident Evil, GTA etc... I've got a few but Final fantasy would be the one that stands out.

I, sadly, have not played Spilnter Cell, Tomb Raider, and Resident Evil. I started Spinter Cell, andonly partialy played RE:Code Veronica X.I keep hearing RE4 is a cool game but never played the previous ones.

The Final Fantasy games have different stories but the gameplay and stradegies are similar. I think you should start with some of the earlier ones if possible (FFVII). If not then FFX.

If i check the top selling franchises on wikipedia, the only ones I haven't played are

Winning Eleven
Nintendogs
Ace Combat

And i don't plan to start playing any of those lol. So outside of the big ones, I think i'd chose katamari damacy. I can play whenever I want, I really just never think about it when I have the time to...

I've never played a single Final Fantasy game or Square game for that matter, but I really have no interest whatsoever in their games....however, these are the series I do kinda regret not trying.....

Baldur's Gate - For some reason I never played either Baldur's Gate 1 & 2, which is a shame cause I hear its Biowares best RPG to date. However, even though I may never experience Baldur's Gate, I am looking forward to experiencing Bioware's new IP for PC Dragon Age which is being billed as a spiritual successor to Baldur's Gate 1 & 2.

Metal Gear Solid - People say these have some of the best storylines on console, unfortunately I never got into the series, and I don't know if I want to play catch up for 4 games.

Starcraft - I've never been an RTS gamer, but this is a classic and in a way I regret never having played it.

Warcraft series, including WoW - same reason as Starcraft. As for WoW, I'm really not into MMO.

Gabriel Knight - A classic adventure series I really regret not trying.

Katamari - Actually been meaning to try this one out.

I'm really surprised that some of you haven't touched the FF series. It's my personal fave. Well, I guess some people isn't so shocking. I mean, if half of the posters never tried FF, then I'd be surprised.

Metal Gear Solid, provided I get a sony system. Also GTA, although I bought Vice City for PC but my comp is too slow to run it.

No offense, but I'm equally surprised that you haven't touched Metroid Prime or Zelda.

I have only played Zelda on the N64, I think it was Ocarina of Time or something like that. I've never played a Metroid Prime game either. I was thinking about getting a new game for my DS (which I love btw) and there are an abundance of Final Fantasy games to play both on GBA and DS. Does anyone have a recommendation? Great posts btw.

I have never played a Zelda game......except like half a level on Animal Crossing in the unlockable NES game

Yeah I figured someone would prolly point that out :P I've barely dabbled in Zelda, and Metroid Prime...well...I just never played it :P

Your comp is too slow to run Vice City?....that's kinda odd....I mean my friend played Vice City on his old PC....a Pentium III 800mhz with a Geforce 3....and it actually ram pretty good and looked comparible to the PS2 version, even better, and he was able to play custom tracks.

So yeah Id like to start playing Zelda

Well, if you're gonna start playing Zelda, they say Twilight Princess literally has the best aspects of the series wrapped up into one package....so I figure that would be a good game to start with, especially since its pretty new.
