*sigh*

What is this, System-Wars?

I'm no fan of the two franchises either, but you should both put aside your personal gripes to provide a relevant answer if you feel the need to comment. This question is in reflection to someone who enjoys these kind of games and Games Discussion should be more helpful than that.

Back onto @james47 which one do you usually prefer, Battlefield or Call of Duty? Like the two above I don't play these games, but I'm a strong believer of personal preference.

i don't know about perfect for xmas and can't comment on how they stack up mp wise but i'm enjoying the ww2 campaign much more than i did battlefield 1's. it's still cod. super linear, heavily scripted cod. but also incredibly precise mechanically and cinematically polished cod. i'm finding it far more enjoyable than infinite warfare. i'm no cod connoisseur but on high difficulty its proving to be a decent challenge

@Macutchi:

Yeah i agree with you, COD feels more like a movie than a game. The graphics though compare Battlefield 1 are complicated cause both games have good graphics. Like i said in my other question, Which one wins. ?

Mostly the Graphics, the Multiplayer and the length of the game. In other words which one deserves spending money on it. ?

^ this.

Did you look at other FPS like, let's say Titanfall 2? I would suggest Bf1 if I had to chose. Bf1 is a game I actually bought and was fun. The new CoD is just that, a new CoD. More of the same, just with a huge focus on LootBoxes now. Why anyone wants to buy it is beyond me.

Battlefield 1 is surely cheaper now (in fact it's free via EA Access) so maybe that would offer you chance to get something else too? Admittedly I'd like to try this new CoD but am in no rush, especially after the lazy Black Ops III and the ridiculous Infinite/Advanced Warfare titles.

I'd go with Call of Duty WWII. It's reviewing really well and I'm pretty sure the campaign will be epic!

You suggest really good choices and i like that. You didn't suggest the ordinary games we all have seen in the past 5 years such as "Call Of Duty" "Battlefield" "Fallout" and other games.
You suggested me 3 different kind of games for a question that it was between COD and Battlefield. Spot on.

I will have a variety of choices except COD and Battlefield.

Thanks again.

@goodzorr:

I totally agree with you. The previous Call Of Duty games was a big failure cause it didn't had the passion and the quality we all have learned from the previous previous games, such as "Modern Warfare" "Black Ops" "World At War" and "Modern Warfare 3".

The last COD games was like going to McDonald's and asking for a dry futuristic game that will have the Call Of Duty logo on it.

I didn't provide any tense feelings to the player, i didn't provide any adrenaline that it would make you loved the game the next day and go back to your PC and play it over and over again just because the campaign was awesome.

They just focus to make a lame campaign and sell the goodies of Multiplayer experience. This is NOT how you make a good make.

In other words, this is what's wrong with game companies these days. They want to create a game just for the Multiplayer stuff, they don't give a shit about the campaign anymore.

"Call Of Duty WWII" was a breath for the campaign people out there. It shows us that by making a good campaign, is not a failure game, but instead there is a big success by making the campaign with passion.

Like i said to goodzorr, they took care of the campaign in CODWWII more seriously than the previous games we saw before.
And yes, CODWWII is a good game cause of the campaign.

In terms of the campaign of CoD WWII, some levels/parts of the game are similar to the previous COD games but at least, you can still enjoy the game on a whole new level. IMO, some of their ideas are kinda recycled but at least they did put a twist in it.

"Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus" is the correct answer.

But I would argue BF1 has the better multiplayer; a lot more depth, better matches, higher-quality DLC, and less fluff.

I think you'd be better off with a really good game instead of a next installment bs game. So for example look at some new releases of games that come out every 3-10 years ir more that are well known for being good. Not CoD which is very debatable and comes out every year. For me personally I'm very excited for the new xenoblade coming out on the switch, But that's me.

If you are choosing strictly between those two then I would say Battlefield 1, it's a year old so you could probably get it on sale as well. That being said, supporting EA right now is a really bad idea... So honestly you may want to go with the new Call of Duty, it's suppose to be pretty good. I am not sure what platforms you have, but some other games you could check out would be:

  • Shadow of War, the lootboxes aren't that bad in it and you can play the game fine without buying a single one. Overall a really fun and entertaining game.
  • Super Mario Odyssey is really great and an amazing (and well needed) new take on the Mario franchise.
  • Evil Within 2 is really good if you are into horror games.
  • Assassin's Creed Origins I have heard good things about.
  • Wolfenstein 2 is pretty solid, but is suffering technical issues. Should be ironed out before Christmas though.

I'd avoid Destiny 2 because of the lack of content, pretty much everyone I know has quit playing it already out of boredom. Seems to be suffering the same issue vanilla Destiny 1 had, wait for some DLCs to freshen up the game first. Also, steer clear of Star Wars Battlefront 2 - there is a massive poop storm swirling around that one in full force.
