I say resident evil 2.... resident evil has gotten so many remakes while this one gets neglected, or at least put it on the playstation store as a ps1 classic. Final Fantasy VII should be remade as well just because it is the greatest rpg that I have ever played and it would be cool to see everything revamped, the cg cutscenes, voice acting, a more interactive battle system. I would really like the battle system like the mario rpgs and this combined. I don't just want to push a button and watch what happens I want to feel like I am doing something in the battle.

The early resident evil games have been re-released so many damn times on so many platforms that they've become completely played out. As for FF7, I remember a while back hearing a rumor that they were working on a remake that will use the graphics from Advent Children but the game itself will play like FF12. Sounds like a good combination, but it is just a rumor.

Golden Axe. I won't even mention the "new revised" edition for current consoles, but instead dream up a plan that works. My idea- hack n slash combat with possibility of mounting creatures IF you beat them or capture them ala Monster Hunter or Pokemon (bad examples I know). Keep the game somewhat linear by creating x towns with x locations branching out from those towns, this way each "level" will feel non-linear, but in actuality vary narrow. Add spells, items, and gear along with different classes and we have a winner.

yeah golden axe was fun, played it on the genesis collection. SO many Genres need to be revised as well and the beat em ups like that do, sbring the genres back to life and revamp it. Take a risk and make something different than a first person shooter. Make a beat em up, platformer, rpg, or action adventure game. Don't follow the crowd

Not so much a remake as a revival, but I want the Phantasy Star series to return in all its single player traditional rpg glory. Not the online hack 'n' slash loot grind that it became (not that PSO is horrible, but the original numbered entries were so good).

Tales of Phantasia needs a remake. I only got to play the GBA version. I want a PS3 or a PSP version.

I'd love a Fallout remake... Keeping the dialogue, perks and everything but improving the graphics, removing the gridding and improving the UI.

Re-Volt. Just upgrade the graphics and you got a great game.

I'm going to say none. I really hate the idea of remakes. I'd rather see developers make new and original games. Or, at the very most, if they want to return of the world of that game, they should limit themselves to prequels or sequels

I can think of many but sometimes remakes ruin the magic.Still i would like to see remakes or updates of the legend of zelda the ocarina of time, zelda oracle of ages and seasons,Flashback, out of this world, final fantasy 6, zombies ate my neighbors I don't know why but I remember having a lot of fun with that one, ninja crusaders and many more.

Freedom Fighters, it was such a good game, this time they could add a few more weapons and have a great multiplayer.

Pokemon Yellow

it should be made for all three consoles

it should have action rpg elements like Fallout 3

and there would be a big open multiplayer world like WoW

when u take out a pokemon you play as them and attack and stuff

not a very big pokemon fan but loved the game

wouldnt that be great

I'd love an old style Fallout as well, since Fallout 3 is a cool game on its own, but it's not the same. I could even accept the gridding.

They need to remake Day of the Tentacle but do it exactly how they remade the Monkey Island game that came out recently.

I'm thinking Pokemon Silver/Gold/Crystal but I lost interest aged 11 in Pokemon.

Star Wars Jedi Power Battles wouldn't be a bad game to remake. It was one of the best Star Wars games in it's generation, if not the best. A PS3 version would be awesome. Spiderman and Spiderman 2: Enter Electro would also be great on the new generation consoles. Would make up for the disappointing Spiderman 3, Spiderman: Friend or Foe etc.

RockEvo

i dunno if i'd play it these days.

but back in the day this would have been the most epic thing ever.

i reckon this would definatly work, if it was bought out.

nice idea.

Bushido Blade. This game defined my childhood and if they ever revived it, I'd like to see one thing and one thing only:

A bit of work on the graphics.

I'd love to see a remake of the System Shock games. Not a sequel. As (namedrop) Kieron Gillen quite rightly points out in his article about Shodan on RPS, a full sequel would put a dent in such a wonderful character, but a remake would be awesome. Modern production values applied over those classics would be a very fine thing indeed I feel.

Planescape: Torment. Such a fantastic game and only so few have played it. Keep the narrative and story like they were and give it a graphical overhaul. I don't care too much about what they do with the gameplay as long as it doesn't become too easy. X-COM: UFO Defense is another one. There have been sequels but none of them as good as the original. Good thing it's rumored that Sid Meier is working on a new X-COM.

I know everyone else didnt like the game but i would like to see a remake of Crime Life:Gang Wars, all that it would need is better voice overs, improved AI, more wepons, a few more characters, alot better graphics and new fighting moves like be able to make your own combos and special moves

Baroque definitely needs a remake. The story is original and interesting, but the gameplay is confusing, sometimes hard, and can get monotonous. I have the PS2 remake and like it, don't get me wrong. It just needs some polishing.
