i think DANTE is one one the coolest names for a character along with LAGUNA LOIRE from FFVIII and Squall LeonHart

Recently, I like Altair, from Assassin's Creed.

John Shepherd from Mass Effect sounds like a very normal name, which makes it kind of cool considering the genre and setting of the game.
