The Legend of Zelda - I played this game in its time and a lot of people do not realize how revolutionary this, and the original metroid on the NES, were. It truly blew the doors off of what a game could do. Withits huge world and savable progress, no game in the series, for me, has matched the impact of the original.
Ocarina of Time - This game had the 2nd most impact to me, because it transitioned the world of zelda into 3d. It was also a huge adventure in which you really took your time to explore every inch.
TheAdventure of Link- In terms of quality, twilight princess should go here, but since it is favorite, i have to give it to this one. Some people did not like the direction the game took, but i loved it. the difficulty of the game was great, and i loved the RPG elements. fabulous game.
LttP - The pinnacle of the game in 2d, LttP didn't really evolve the series in a major way, but it took everything that we knew and loved and gave it to us with great presentation.
Link's Awakening - really was another LttP in my eyes, great game.
Twilight princess - Technically the most impressive in the series, it is the pinnacle of the current formula in 3d. However, for me this one was one i don't know if i'd ever want to play again. I don't really know why. It was awesome as i played it, but all of the others i have listed i know i would play again.
The Oracle games - they were decent, similar toLink's Awakening, but not as impressive for some reason.Didn't play them both all the way through.
Majora's Mask - Not too sure about this one, i haven't played it all the way through
Phantom Hourglass - A strange game to me, way too easy and a little different in presentation, but by no means bad.
Wind Wanker - a horrible horrible sailing fest, with zelda elements squished in between. worst in the series IMO
