Or let's say hypothetically for some reason you were forced to give up all your systems except for one. Which one would you keep? For me it would definitely be my SNES. You'd have to pry it from my cold dead hands to take it away from me. :x

Jeez that's a tough one. Even as a hypothetical question, it's scary to think of. I'd probably have to choose eitther my SNES or my PS2. Both those consoles have some of the best games I've ever played. I couldn't pick one over the other. :P

Always said I would NEVER throw out my NES. But I finally did recently. Along with my SNES and Genesis. Sigh! :(

Still kept the games though. :)

I' take my sens because it has the largest library of games compared to all my other systems except the Atari 2600. Also most of these are extremley good games

Hmmm...close call between snes and ps2. Um....ps2 because the most important games i want on the nes (ffiv, ffvi and crono) were ported to the ps1.

I would never give them up unless it was aboslutly nesscary. And if so out of the 28 machines I would keep the SNES since that is where all my great childhood memories are and its still fun to play games like Zelda on every so often ^^

All of them, but given these other restrictions, my PS2. I can play all my favorite PS and PS2 games and be all good :D

Probably PS2, because I have so many games on it, and I doubt my PS3 could fit all of them along with my PS3 games.

If I still had my SNES, that would be my choice hands down. However, when it comes down to the consoles that I own right now...I guess I'll have to say my N64, though I'd rather wait until the next generation hits and choose my Wii. (The reason for that is that the Wii is already largely backwards-compatible with GCN games, plus there's the Virtual Console and WiiWare to further augment the game library.)

I wouldn't sell any, and I regret getting rid of my SNES and GBA, even though the DS can play all the GBA titles anyway.

Would be a really tough choice, but it would be either my Dreamcast or my 3d0.

i wouldnt ever get rid of my atari lynx. some of the games i have for it are almost impossible to find and its the hardest one to find at used video game stores around here. If i had to get rid of my genesis or nes, i could probably get a new one soon after.

My Super Nintendo was my first console, so I would choose that one above all.

What!? I'll keep all of them!

But in the case of it becoming reality, I would probably stick to my NES or my GameCube...

I would say my SNES, but you can only play Sunset Riders so many times before you go insane. I'd have to say my PS2.

They will have to pry my Sega Genesis out of my dead, cold hands when the reaper comes for me. I dig the Genesis the most out of my oldschool consoles.

marchofthedogs

well technically a PS2 is not a "legacy console" since they still release NEW games and they have a section specifically for PS2 on GS. See where it says pc, xbox360, wii, ps3, ps2, psp, and ds? If the console is not in there anymore, then I would consider it a legacy. BUT personally i would consider the ps2 last gen, so really it is kinda old. but its not 1990's old.

but for some reason the PS2 no longer has it's own forum board, so i guess the only place to discuss it is in "legacy platforms". so really it's kinda in the grey area.

It's hard for me to get rid of any of the consoles I've gathered up through the years. I still have my old 2600 kicking around in a box somewhere with his other retired brethren. I'm not even sure how I would get rid of these things besides just trashing them which seems a bit wasteful. Even newer ones wouldn't sell for more than a few bucks or just sit in a trash bin somewhere.
