Which One : Minecraft Or Terraria?

I haven't gotten around to playing Terraria yet.

Terraria is by far my favorite because I love the side scrolling games that remind me of the 90s. Minecraft is great in its own right though.

Vanilla : Terraria
Modded: Minecraft

It really depends on what you are looking for.

2D sidescroller or a 3d open world game.

I would go with minecraft, never been into those 2d sidescrollers.

Minecraft by a huge margin.

Pretty tough one for me, since I own both of them. I gotta go with Minecraft though because I usually look at sandbox-building games as a means to relax, and Terraria is NOT a relaxing game. Night 1 when I first played it...*shiver*

I've liked both from what I've played but Terraria has a lot more variety with the armor and weapons you can make. Plus it has a Metroidvania feel to it that I appreciate a lot.

I couldn't get into terraria... perhaps I just haven't given it enough of a chance though.

I have been playing a ton of Trove lately. It's a free to play minecrafty MMORPG. I haven't spent a dime and have played it for over 100 hours. The focus is more on the RPG side than the building side.
