alright. so its down to this, left 4 dead, or cod5. and i have some questions about the longevity of these games
i was wondeing if you could answer these questions about fallout.
1. how different is each quest? are they mostly kill this or find and bring me that kinda stuff? or are they actual meaning full quests with satesfying endings?
2. how is the story? is it deep and engaging? will i want to continue playing because of it?
3. how are the set pieces? is the land static or are there any epic battles with huge setpieces? im a sucker for scale.
4. ive heard it gets boreing. your thoughts on that?
5.lastly how are the wepons? are there alot? are they satesfying?
thanks!

Wow, you change tangents so quick that I had to look twice!
I'd go with Left 4 dead but I love valve (though I hate Steam) and I'm one of the few people you'll talk to who disliked COD4. That being said, they both will have amazing replay value; left 4 dead because of the always changing "director" implement and COD5 because of the multiplayer of course.
Now, on to Fallout 3:
1.It is mostly kill this or get this so far...(I have not completed the game but I've logged a lot of hours) but the story is interesting and even doing the stereotypical "fetch" missions is enjoyable because of VATS etc.
2. The story is better than most and it keeps me picking up the controller. Although, Liam Neeson's voice acting can get a bit too dramatic lol but it's stil awsome they got him for the part.
3. There are a few dramatic "setpieces" so far but like I said I haven't finished it.
4. I haven't gotten bored yet! Although, VATS does get a little (very little) tiring after awhile. I wish the normal gunplay was a little better implemented but it's nothing really to complain about (especially if you've play morrowind :-))
5. I find the weapons satisfying and IMO there is a good selection. Although there will be a lot you'll probably just ignore after you get more advanced ones later in the game.
