I'm going to best buy tomorrow and I'm planning on buying a game but not sure which one to get. Plus I'm looking for something that can last for most of the summer. I'm thinking about The Sims 3, Resident Evil 5, Spore, or Super Smash Bros Brawl. I loved The Sims 2 and it's expansions, Resident Evil 4 is my favorite game and the RE5 demo wasn't half bad, Spore CC was decent, and I rented Brawl a couple of times and had fun with it. Which of these is the best buy?

Well I vote Sims 3. I think Spore would be cool for awhile but get boring. RE5 got really boring. SSBB a fighter for all summer, not. So you have a pc and wii?? Dont know of anything else you could look for on those systems.. Do you have Civilization Revolution? That game can devour time like candy and be just as sweet.

It's turn-based. Very slow gameplay with not much focus on combat. If you have friends to play it with, Brawl is a good choice. The Sims would have more depth, though, so that would be good too if you put a lot of time into Sims 2.

You plop down a city. You start out with 2-3 civilians with which to start gathering food or wood for the adjacent squares next to your city. Food makes your city's population grow which gives you more civilians to put to work. Wood is used for building military units. Both your population and military units take multiple turns to complete depending on what your numbers are. You send your military units off to capture enemy city's and explore the map or to defend your city. As you gain more civilians you use them to gather more food, wood or science so you can research new technology. Meanwhile all these other civilizations are doing the same thing.

Your goal is to take over every other city, reach a certain cultural level, or launch into space by researching stuff and then building it. As your city levels up you can turn some of the civilians into settlers and go off to start a new city. You can also build spy's and caravans. The military units range from basic guys with swords to bomber planes and nukes.

I dont know whats slow about it. You build and research things and grow your cities and fight against other civilizations. On the turns where nothing is happening except stuff getting built the turns are very short. Its damn addictive for me and hard to stop until I have conquered the game. The land mass's change each time you play and different civilizations occupy the map so its never the same twice. And there are multiple ways to win. I got it for the DS because I loved Civ2 so much for ps1. The DS has painfully small maps and it still rocks so I can only imagine what a PC version would be like with much larger maps.

If you got a DS, PS3, or 360 try it out!!!!

I agree that civilization revolution is really fun. Smash bros. brawl is a blast, especially if you play it with a friend.

The only good one in that list is Super Smash Bros. Brawl, so get that.
