Which songs appearing on videogames are your favorites?

Other songs I like are in the "Jak X: Combat Racing" soundtrack, and many of the songs appearing in "Super Smash Bros. BRAWL" (belonging to their respective videogames).

Donkey Kong Country 1-3 is superb. Mega Man 2 specifically is a stunner. But these are slightly more boop and beep (DK is synthesizer heavy but whatever). More sophisticated music that enjoy is the Oblivion soundtrack and the Halo games. A very full orchestra. If we move back a little bit into the late 90's I give props to the MGS soundtrack.

there are many games that slip my mind but there are some nice people who post videogame music like it was their job on Youtube and many times I'll remember the game music from seeing one of their videos. I watch the users Garudoh and SupraDarky.

One song most people don't know is Betrayal from Silent Hill 2. It carries a great mood of soul crushing depression, which really works for the game.

My all time favorite currently is Baba Yetu by Christopher Tin off of the Civilization IV soundtrack. If you happen to have the game and are wondering what song I'm talking about it is the song you hear at the original main menu. The expansions replaced it with something else.Drosa

I love the Bad Girl theme. Still Alive gives off way too much of a Linkin Park vibe for me .

i may sound like a tard, and most will probably dissagree, but i thought the gears 2 music was epic, obviously not as a song on its own though, otherwise, portals, or parhaps you have to burn the ropeOverlord93

beyond the bounds on Zone of the Enders 2 got me into videogame music so that's top of my list.

Blow me away by Breaking benjamin was another big tune (halo 2)
