By 'good publishers' I mean when they had actually helped. We all heard the bad stories: EA destroying Bullflog, Westwood, and Black Ises and the Ultima series. And Square Enix neglecting a lot of their franchise like Chrono Trigger for Final Fantasy. Sony Online Entertainment making Vangaurd and SWG into generic MMORPGs. And recently, Activision dropping games that look interesting like Brutal Legend for kids games like Spyro and Crash. But are there any good stories? Has a publisher ever saved the day?

I personally trust Ubisoft a lot.

and when Nintendo and Microsoft act as publishers, its usually real good.

Valve is good too.

i have a fondness for atlus. they seem to make a lot of games that stray from the norm, and are mostly quality.

If they can't make a lot of games for people to get them I don't see how they're a good publishers... if I own one I would at least people could find my developer's games. No disrespect though. >.>
