I hear ya
but its a superb game for the PC gamers, what do you expect?
Its like those Halo Reach ads, they where EVERYWHERE, and from the point of view of a PC gamer they were annoying too
Well I'm using adblock so I'm not seeing any at all. It's not surpising though, it's a huge and very very popular game and just like other big games they're advertised.
The Cataclysm ads feel worse than the others, mainly due to the fact that I frequently get two of them at a time, while I did not get two ads for Reach or any of the earlier games marketed to this level. There are also a lot more people who hate WoW than who hate Halo, which is probably contributing.

I soooo agree!!!!
Do millions of people need to be reminded about their fix?Gammit10
This.
The thing about a game like Reach is that it has huge mass appeal. The majority of people buying Reach will probably be the variety of gamer that doesn't mark his calender for game releases and isn't checking sites like this for updates daily. So a heavy marketing campaign makes sense to let all these people know a new Halo is coming out. But WoW? Four, five years after the fact, if you're still interested in WoW, you knew this game was coming out before the game retailers did - you didn't need a commercial.
