*silence* Graphics enhances the believe-ability of the game, it increases how realistic the game is, allowing you to be immersed into the world even more.
I hate ppl who think graphics = better game when it's usually the opposite. Who's with me on this one?

I still my share of retro games, but graphics really help make a game 10x better this generation of games. Who would play CoD4 when the graphics were stickmen.:(

Some of them however got so freaking terrible gameplay that dont feel reallistic and kill the immersive part, also the better graphics they manage to make, the more untalented the level design becames, in the past they had to make well designed maps but know its all high detailed corridors or high detailed outdoors with poor landscape design.
well i prefer better graphics in fps games...but people who dont like rpg games because of the graphics really **** me off....its more about the STORY and GAMEPLAY
A game with just good graphics is fun for about 10 mins. A game with good depth, gameplay, depth and story can be fun for an indefinite amount of time.
