I just hate games which I feel that I pay full price for and then realise I can't reach everything in game unless I pay money for, is forza 5 is absolutely disgusting that there are cars you can see but can't get unless you pay for them pretty much from day one, its basicly them money grabbing.is broad day light yes I dont have to get them but they have basicly held back cars for it
i'm kinda sad Deep Down is going to run off of microtransaction killed most of my interest in the game
@bowchicka07: I hear where you're coming from given I started gaming during an era where the very concept of DLC would've been met with massive protests. However I feel I have to disagree with you on the Skyrim DLC, given it's actually one of the few games that gives you enough content to justify the price for the DLC.
On a separate note I think the topic is more related to games where you have to keep shelling out cash to win while playing it.
@pupp3t_mast3r: Like Facebook games?
I think most people, actually think of microtransactions as pay to win, but I think most of the time they are like shortcuts, for people who has the money, but not the time, to get certain items/weapons etc. on games.

Sometimes they are purely fluff as well. Microtransactions have become like the boogey-man to console-only gamers. Having played with them for some time, they're really not that bad. I challenge anyone to play Path of Exile and find something to complain about with respect to its pay model. GW2's is also perfectly good and they just keep giving away new content every couple weeks.
It depends on how its implemented. P2W is generally bad but microtransactions and P2W aren't the same thing. I wouldn't consider things like Neverwinter's model P2W either as it simply is a mechanism to help players who have less time keep up with players that have more time...which actually makes sense.
@doubalfa: Like Clash of Clans, an example where the game lets you experience the gameplay upto a certain threshold without paying but eventually you hit a wall where you just have to shell out to move forward.
Not me, I hate games that require grinding. It's a waste of time. My time is more valuable than a few bucks spent on microtransactions. If a game doesn't allow you to constantly make forward progress toward an ending I don't want to play it (with the exception of multiplayer games, Call of Duty, Battlefield, Madden, etc.).
