who here thinks this generation (ps3 & xbox) should last longer?

I'm thinking it takes longer to make the games and more money, therfore if game makers had more time to get used to the hardware and such then they could put out more games faster and have more originality instead of the tried and true method.

This is especially true in PS3 cause I think it could actually last another generation to be honest. And think about it, how long and how much will it take to produce next gen xbox and ps3 games??

You can bet that the PS3 still has at least six years ahead of it. Hell, Persona 4 will be released at the end of 2008, and I'll be picking that up.

I can only hope that the 360 follows suit but considering that the Xbox only had 3.5 years of first-party titles I can't really be sure.

I'm pretty sure Sony will keep the PS3 alive for a few more years. That's why I bought one.
