Want to be excited, but all depends really. . haven't exactly been excited for a Halo after playing Halo 4. New team mimicking old ideas. And cannot say I cared to follow its half baked and traced ways.
Suppose it helps that Halo 4 was the last new Halo I purchased. Reach was the last one I enjoyed, re-bought it not too long ago, haven't dived in fully, read it has some problems on P.C.
Didn't invest in the Master Chief collection or Halo 5. Read the multiplayer is reasonably decent but nothing to set itself apart in a good or meaningful way, sequels need to move these modes forward, remaining stagnant leaves you behind. Cannot rely on old tricks forever when people already have access to those classics, and the classics are arguably better.
Halo Infinite what are we suppose to think? Outside the tease we've had a story heavy trailer, and last I checked people like Halo for the shooting. . I dunno, someone probably loves the lore but I could do without. Rumors of open world but that rarely fixes anything, tends to make games worse. Just look at Metal Gear Solid V. .
We need to consider that Halo Infinite could also be a Battle Royale game, I hope they're not stupid enough to jump on that bandwagon, but it would be a safe bet in the current market. And from what I've seen 343 do like to take safe bets.
Would prefer a 2016 D00M take, tight/ focused gun play, representing the old but taking three steps forward. I just don't know if they have the team to make that happen.
