Why are some games on steam so expensive?See dead space 2

Dead space 2 on steam here is 30 euros , on US steam it is 19 USD(14,5 euros).

On origin it is like euros , what is the deal?Can someone explain to me?

Blame the publishers. They set the prices for their own games on Steam.

Yep publishers set the prices. EA will probably pull all their stuff from steam, or inflate the prices horribly to drive 'origin'. Bethesda does the same thing. They still want $20 for Morrowind for example.

Why is Crysis still $30 on the PC, when the 360 and PS3 versions are even cheaper than that? So, yes, Steam and other DD sites can be pretty expensive with some of their titles.
