Why are there so few good games featuring Dinosaurs?

I was lamenting the cancelling of the development of BC the other day and was wondering why Dinosaurs do not inspire Games designers and developers very much.

Can anyone name 5 good games featuring dinosaurs?

Modern "Turok" and that's probably all there is to it.

Dino Crisis was pretty good back on the ps1. As to why there aren't many dinosaur games, I honestly don't know.

Orion Prelude is one to look out for ;)

It recently got the funding it needed.

Yep just checkedout the trailer it looks interesting although a bit generic.

Jurassic The Hunted came out for this gen. IDK how it is, but it's all dinosaur killing.

Yeah, but I also remember the game getting awards like Arcade Fighting Game Of The Year back when it was released, so it wasn't just called a Mortal Kombat killer. :P Also, only a few good gaming magazines stood out that I enjoyed subscribing to at the time, like EGM or Gamefan!

Time Killers? Yeah I do...it's right up there with Shaq-Fu as some of the worst fighting games to ever happen.

Can't you consider the monster hunter games as somewhat dino games? They look pretty much like dinos, no idea if they're fantasy or based on dinos though

because zombies are the rage right now

Time Killers? Yeah I do...it's right up there with Shaq-Fu as some of the worst fighting games to ever happen.

The game isn't balanced properly and there's some bugs and glitches that need to be fixed, even if they thought they fixed all of it in the last version, Version 2.3. I hope that someday, Primal Rage comes back with a vengenance, better than ever. I still remember how that one woman from Arizona got the game boycotted and removed from shelves all over the country after watching her twelve-year old son, at the time, performing Chaos's Golden Shower fatality with the help of a Gamepro strategy guide. What a pity!
