why would anyone hate bloody roar? It's fun game.
It just get ignored because it doesn't have depth and refined gameplay to be considered serious fighting game. Serious fighting games like VF5 is something you can talk about it and really get into, but shallow but fun fighting game like Bloody Roar doesn't have much to talk about.
I enjoyed Bloody Roar. But then... I'm not a fighting game fan. I actually kinda dislike them on principle.Private_VegasI would very sincerely like to know what that principle is.
I used to like Bloody Roar as well, but at the time, I was just kinda "oh whatever" about fighters. Not that I didn't like them a lot, but I didn't really dig too deep. No need back then... nobody really played.
Still, I can pretty much guarantee you that the reason BR isn't a respected franchise in the big leagues of fighting games because it's got bad balancing and, most likely, some kind of game-breaking glitches. See, in the upper echelons of this genre, people don't say, "oh that's cheap, I won't do it." If they find a bug they'll go, "a HA! That makes me win, I'm doing it." When that happens, the community at large stamps the game as a failure and it is shunned from that day forward.

Thats odd, I could've sworn the big leagues actually welcomed those types of games with open arms (or i've been to SRK's forums )
Yeah man, I've seen a few Bloody Roar bashers in some topic around here. I loved the Bloody Roar games. Primal Fury was my favey.
But yeah, I'm not much of a fighting game fan. I have a few but I'm not that deeply into the genre. Somehow, however, I fell in love with Bloody Roar. I guess I just thought it was cool to change into animals and such. Without that factor I probably wouldn't touch it but then again, without that factor, the game's loses it's strongest theme.
I've never liked them. I thought the fighting system was crap and they just weren't fun.
I more of a Tekken guy myself.
I loved Bloody Roar 1 and 2. Played it to death with my frineds and I won tourneys in my area for BR2 ...AND...im a fighting game fan so not all fighting game fans hate bloody roar.(didnt really getin into BR3 or 4 or the one for GC tho)
