I played the game and I like it a lot but I see that many people say that its bad.

Yeah me too, the water system wasn't that cool in the game :sI wasn't too crazy about the FLOOD/cleanup game mechanic, but I thought the game was great.

In my openion, Super Mario galaxy is the BEST MARIO GAME in the series (and Mario 64 is second :) )It had its problems like most games though it's still definetly my favourite game in the series. But maybe it was too hard. I just say that because super mario galaxy seemed stupidly easy too me in comparison and it got game of the year here.

I like it too; better than Galaxy since Galaxy was PITIFULLY easy. At least Sunshine occasionally gave me a challege. Though I am not sure whether I like SM64 or Sunshine better.
[QUOTE="Rocky32189"]I'm not sure either because it's better than Mario 64.joesh89
I cant believe you just said that... and I agree with you :|
I like more sunshine that the 64 to.I totally disagree, all Sunshine was basically special levels and collecting coins. Barely any mixture of different tasks of SM64. Lets face it, the game was essentially going to be SM64 II and was then pushed to the GC and it shows.
But they did do a very great job on the game, specialy the music which is in my openion is very excelent :DWe can´t blame nintendo for trying to add new things to the series. See how well it was in Super Mario Galaxy :P F.L.U.D.D Wasn´t a bad addition it was just the way he was suposed to be used :P

Super Mario Sunshine is much more difficult game than Galaxy. I was watching my little cousin play Galaxy and he was getting through it like nothing. I played it a bit and had 20 stars in no time. I then popped in Super Mario Sunshine and just on the first world "Blanco Hills" getting all the stars in the level had me doing harder things then the first 20 stars of Galaxy. I've only played through Sunshine once, but I remember that being a challenging game, especially if you were trying to get EVERYTHING. Oh and Super Mario 64 was awesome too, also quite difficult in places.Marfoo
You're right, Galaxy is/was a super easy game. But it more than makes up for it with the fun you have playing it and the orgasmic soundtrack and visual style. Just a masterpiece of a game.
I can't play mario 64. i get to the level with the baby penguin and i say to myself... WTF?!?! I just can't get on with it. never have been able to. and i've tried.LOTS of times.
MArio Sunshine however, i thoroughly enjoyed, even though i NEVER got all the stars. it was unbelievably tough in some segments though. other wise, a very pleasant game. and the first mario game i completed since Yoshi's island on snes.
I beat it, got all the shines, ECT. But the main reason people don't like it is because of the whole thing with F.L.U.D.D. and saving the environment. Most of these people haven't even played the game. When you think about it, if you think about the concept of the game which IS to save the environment before you play it, you would get second thoughts about it depending on your personality.
I think that people don't like it because they can't except that it's a different take on the 3D Mario formula.
I disagree, the game is an above average platformer, but without the Mario title would not be remembered at allI have it and it was good, but it had a lot to live up to as it's a Mario title. If it was a platformer without the Mario name in it, I'm positiveSunshine would have been looked at in a better light.

[QUOTE="FFCYAN"]I disagree, the game is an above average platformer, but without the Mario title would not be remembered at allThe game was unique and had top quality production values and graphics. People expected more than good because it was a Mario title. Most people here agree it was at least a good game, while nobody at all mentions that they only like it because it was a Mario game. Think about it, how many "above average" games have large cult followings? A lot.I have it and it was good, but it had a lot to live up to as it's a Mario title. If it was a platformer without the Mario name in it, I'm positiveSunshine would have been looked at in a better light.

People didnt like it because in general people dont want to accept change. It was a good game, but different for them usual "princess is in another castle" formula. Its for the same reason why people hate the US version of Mario 2.
I have Mario Sunshine but for some reason I just couldn't get into the game but I enjoyed Galaxy a lot more.
I never understood that either. It'd be brought up in conversation and my friends would be like 'yeah but that doesn't really count as a mario game'. I always thought it was really good, one of my favourites actually :?
