For competition? For Competition to waste time?

I game bec ause its fun, its an escape. You can be the hero or you can destroy the world, youcan be anyone doing anything at anytime. I also game because I appreciate the beauty (I'm using the word in a broad sense, sinse Fallout3 is beautiful for its attention to detail and such but the world itself is bleak and cheerless) of the worlds created by developers. I could totally get lost in the gorgeousness of the architecture in Bayonettta, Devil May Cry, Bioshock. The rolling hills and landscapes of Oblivion and again, the bleak vistas of Fallout 3.
Gaming has also educated me in some ways. Thanks to Dynasty Warriors I bought and read The Three Kingdoms and I was able to talk about it with my Mother in law (who is Chinese), and that brought us together a bit more.My son has done an amazing turn around in school since he started playing Scribblenauts. My daughter improved her reading by playing JRPGs.
I can keep in shape by playing Kinetic and DDR.
Gaming just offers os many possibilities. I can't imagien NOT gaming.
For Fun and also to calm me down. I tend to get REALLY hyper at points, and when that happens i just sit down and play video games and that usually helps. It also keeps me from making huge mistakes, like doing drugs, and Drinking excessively. When i did stop playing video games for a long time, i ended up getting in trouble with school, my mom, police, and Various other people alot. Now, people consider me quiet. It feels better this way.
Because it itches a part of my brain that reading and viewing do not. It's not as passive as watching a movie, but it's not as involved as playing a sport. It isn't entirely unlike either of those, though. It's an entertainment source all its own that competes only with itself for me. I watch movies, sure, and I still go out and play baseball on Friday nights, but it's the combination of relaxing passivity and interaction that makes gaming in a league all its own.

To satisfy my male urge to kill and win, and if you think that urge can't be addressed by the Legend of Zelda series, you're dead wrong :)
I game, therefore I am?AllicrombieWin xD I just play for fun, when i wan't to stop gaming for a while i can (with torture of course xD)
Intellectual stimulation. I find it to be great fun to empty half a clip into a mercenary or an alien, and then stand over the dead body and say "You have the right to remain silent".
Games are definitely fun; for so many reasons. Games also can give me a sense of accomplishment, even those games dating back before trophies/achievements.
