Seriously, i never knew it even existed, i decided to give it a try, and man it was trash. I know the MD had issues with ports, mainly sound and colours, but this was a botch job

The game didnt suck at all, and to be honest it may have appeared hard cos maybe your not used to playing the "old skool" platformers. Those games were really tough, and were a great test of your reflexes and patience lol

I believe that TC is only talking about the Megadrive/Genesis port of the game, and how bad that version is. Personally I played the game on a Nintendo system, didn't even know there was a version for a Sega console so I cant really comment. I never did complete it, since it was only a rental.

The SNES version was the toughest in my opinion, the enemies seemed to fight back a bit more than the other versions of the game. The NES and Genesis versions were similar in difficulty at least from what I've played. Whichever version it was, this game was awesome and still is quite enjoyable.

The SNES version of Battletoads is what I assume you're talking about. Double Dragon was way too easy for the SNES.

I got this game and I see no problem with it. I also played the NES one back in the day. The only difference is that the Megadrive one has better graphics

On the Genesis, Battletoads & Double Dragon was never an incredibly tough game. It was indeed hard, but not brutally hard. It was actually one of my favorite beat-em-ups on the platform because of the crazy levels and boss fights. It was also fun racing on the jet bikes and hi-jacking the metal walkers.
