Why does Metal Gear Solid 5 have monsters?

This is the 1st MGS game i've ever played. I love it. I love the graphics, I love the stealthy gameplay, I love the realistic A.I (human that is). I'm not a fan of the monsters that instant kill everyone in their path. Did the previous MGS games have monsters too like this flaming fire Jason Voorhies and mist monsters that run faster than your horse? Why include monsters?

You ask why monsters the real question is why not.

@leapyone: supernatural elements have always been a part of the series, for better or worse. I'm guessing MGS V is just taking it up to 11.

If you had seen how they treated Resident Evil, you wouldn't be surprised to see it coming.

That's Metal Gear for you. Metal Gear is basically just anime targeted to western people. It's always had some weird supernatural or occult stuff.

But I'm not necessarily liking it including in V. Every encounter with them I did not really like.

This has always been a part of MGS. Personally I love it.

Because the word monster is the perception of evil, which the world has in plentiful supply. Thus, monsters are real and should not be dismissed because some gamers think the world is filled with ponies and rainbows.
