Do people still like to play Call of Duty Warzone? It seems to be popular on Twitch still.

CoD is cool to hate, pretty much every time I see it mentioned on gaming forums it's in a negative light. Even though obviously tons of people are playing it.

Personally haven't been into any of them since CoD4, so no real opinion on it.

In general game forums you will hardly see CoD Fans as most of users tends to be pretty anti about mainstream multiplatform popular title. Nowadays if you want to talk about CoD you have to go to proper dedicated CoD forums or Twitter.

As the above mentioned very popular games are usually frowned upon on forums by hipsters, or just to raise eyebrows. It's a vocal minority sure, though puts people off chatting about the games. Not stating Call of Duty is perfect by any means, however you'll see highly regarded games either dismissed or mocked on forums just so that negative sum can justify the games they play & invest-in. So, petty behavior really.

Personally don't play enough Call of Duty to have a fair opinion on the matter, I typically enjoy Battle Royale games though and Warzone is just CoD BR mode so I imagine it's fairly fun in small doses. From what little I've dipped into Call of Duty is they're fine First Person Shooters, if just safe and do very little different from version-to-version. My group doesn't really invest in the franchise so I don't either, and never personally connected with the IP to give it much chance on my own.

If you like Call of Duty: Warzone? that's fine though. Chat about it at your hearts desire, I just have little to add further.

Warzone is pop gaming. It's popular, and it has its fans, but it is not interesting.

No one wants to talk about it because it's boring, and the people that do like it don't talk about it, they just play it and watch videos of other people playing it.

It's why pop culture, while good for business, is bad for art. It destroys discourse; turns discussion into consumption.

Call me a hipster, I guess...

@mrbojangles25: I don’t think you are a hipster.

I completely agree with what you said.

BTW I got called a hipster once because I played Goldeneye 007 while everyone was playing OOT.

I had no interest in OOT whatsoever, but I thought G007 was great and a masterpiece.

Seeing as though Warzone 2 is only a few months away and the beta for Modern Warfare 2 starts in less than a month there really isn't a point after they announced that it will be a fresh start and that nothing will carry over to the new games. I've seen some cool skins I would have bought that other people I play with did, and I'm not opposed to spending money on that kind of stuff, but I've been saving my cards for the new gen of games that are coming soon. It's been damn near 3 years and the game was only supposed to be one year long... even the CoD devs didn't think Warzone was going to be such a big hit. Their excuses for a fresh start is so they can add much requested features like FoV sliders on consoles, but we all know it's about monetization. Can't blame them though.. at this point it's proven to take in mountains of cash, so why not capitalize on it. I think it sucks everyone is losing everything and will have to start from scratch, but at the same time things were getting stale, so although I'm torn I'm also leaning towards this being a good thing.
