I actually love COD because it is accessible, a bit silly, quicker than the likes of battlefield (which I also love); you just have to take COD the right way, don't go into it thinking it's hardcore. Have some fun and muck around. For me, Black Ops' attempts to fix MW2's shitty balancing made those games worse, MW2 was the funnest but people hated it because they were too competitive and got irritated when they were noob tubed. As far as I'm concerned, noob tube em back! Or maybe RPG wars! Shotguns as secondaries! Dual P90s! How silly is that? I'm sure it made some of you throw your controllers in rage, but who cares? It was fun, it was completely stupid and yet it took itself seriously, combine that with the hype around it and the amount of ordinary gamers who were playing it... that is why MW2 was great. MW3 just felt half-finished. COD4 was the most addictive due to it being ground-breaking at the time. The perks, the challenges, the gunplay, prestige mode... it all added up to an amazing experience. I truly hope another game in the next generation, COD or not, will feel like playing COD4 again. Maybe the likes of COD4, MW2 and WaW were great to me because I was still in school and had a lot more time on my hands and more friends to play with. I dunno, nostalgia right? Does anyone else feel the same way? Gaming doesn't feel like it used to for some reason. Anyway, I digress. Does anyone still play MW2 any more on PS3 down under? If so, send me an invite!

MW2 was horrible...Bought it...the campaign was entertaining enough in a Michael Bay movie kind of way, but the multiplayer was horribly unbalanced and full of bugs and glitches...Quit playing it and went back to WaW within a couple weeks... Never touched CoD again until BO2 which I actually find quite fun in both SP and online.

CoD4 was my first CoD multiplayer experience (although I've been playing CoD games since Finest Hour). I loved everything about it. From what I remember playing hardcore, everything seemed perfect. You only had killstreaks at 3, 5, and 7 and no MOABs or Nukes. It seemed then that more people played to win the game instead of stat whoring.

mw2 is better than mw3, and there are still a lot of players playing mw2 online on PS3, you can easily find player in match making process.

MW2 was actually my introduction to the CoD franchise. I got my PS3 a little late compared to everyone else back then, so I was too late for the party when it came to MW1. So when I got MW2, I technically had no standards. I was blown away by the campaign. I really adored that feeling of "Red Dawn" where your home soil was being invaded by outsiders as you see your Russian enemies parachute down on your territory. I thought it had really cool set pieces and was a blast to play because of it's Michael Bay roller coaster ride gameplay. I also have to say that the music by Hans Zimmer was hauntingly beautiful. Especially that level where you see the WhiteHouse being invaded and there's a red sunset sky in the background. The level was called "of their own accord." Moments like these will last forever!

I'm not sure if I ever played the multiplayer but the campaign was fun as said above, in a Michael Bay sort of way.

Digging up an old one here. PS3 MW2 is completely broken. There are a huge amount of hackers - not even ones that benefit you - these guys are assholes. They have unlimited noob tubes, unlimited AND fully auto EBRs, FALs and pistols. They have aim bot, they have insta kill, they have everything. It's unplayable. Xbox isn't so bad, very few hackers, and those that are make it so it's unlimited time on a map or xp lobbies, so it's not so bad. No clue if that helps. But, on a related topic, MW2 truly is the best call of duty, no doubt about it.

you guys have to trust me, MW2 was my favorite game and still is. ive been playing it on xbox in ground war. i need everyone to try the game out again on ps3 for ground war. its fun. remember back 3 years ago being so happy getting your first nuke. they all suck too please

no i don't play online competitive anymore in any game, cause I refuse to pay for items lik weapons and maps when I think they should

of been in the game in the first place, and s**t games llike battlefield 3 where you have to rent a server for £5.00 a week its disgusting

and i will forever refuse to pay any extra for any game in terms of online multiplayer, stroy mode dlc on the other hand, because it is a story

it contains characters, settings, and a purpose. plus i dont understand why a new game is 40-50 pound and a new film on blu ray is only 10-14 pound

the video game industry is so greedy, im glad i only buy second hand.

i forgot to mention that there is no effecient ranking system, these people play the f***ing a** of these type of games and play for like 3+ hours a day and me i play single player campaigns 95% of the time anyway, dont get me wrong i dont mind people being good at a game they enjoy not at all, i dont blame them at all, its the developers that are to blame. its bad business sense as well cause for people like me who dont play online that much, it doesnt make me wanna purchase the game in the first place, even if i did buy new. i refuse to pay any greedy developer.
