Why Titanfall will suck...

If it wasn't published by EA it would have been on Steam, using Steamworks and all the great stuff that comes with it. You just know there would have been an SDK and the game would have had such a rich diverse community all creating content and maps and stuff. It is a Source Engine game so it has huge potential for community driven content and that is what keeps games alive, it could have been a platform and it could have also been on PS4 as a result.

However instead it'll be Origin only, the price will always be stupidly high, they'll do some shitty thing like Battlefield Premium, you'll have to pay for map packs, there will be no community driven content and in two years there will be another one to kill the original. I just don't get why they keep bringing out sequels that just kill off the previous game year after year, I just get sick of it. What I love about someone such as Valve, I can play my fave games for 8 years without worrying of a new one and there is constant new content from the community. I just hate official content like map packs because they're always shit and lack imagination, the map makers from the community always create the best stuff.

This is the price we have to pay when we buy games from EA, they always lose their sense of online community. There are too many games to count over the years that they've released which have just been shit experiences for online. Those Need For Speed games are the worst, HP didn't even have in game chat on the PC, they never have any community hubs where you can see where everyone is and they feel so dead as a result. Maybe this is just console gaming in general though as Forza 5 has the same feeling of just being dead and I think Lobbies are the worst thing introduced ever in the history of online gaming. They just result in a game dying so fast because they do nothing to make them feel alive, people just end up quitting because of this.

**** EA and **** Titanfall, it'll just end up as another shitty BF mess, all the best online games have mods and community made content, sadly thanx to EA that wont be Titanfall.

I don't care about the Xbox One version, that console is shit and so is its new UI and lies.

Well I think it'll be awesome. I'm getting it for the Xbox One which I am enjoying very much, it's a very cool system.

I will give OP credit that the worst "feature" of Titanfall will be Origin, it is the red-headed step-child of steam all right. I'm sure the game will be good and all but it'll never have much for mods which is a shame for the PC players.

EA does suck pretty hard, they make gaming cringeworthy at times.

Titanfall, as a franchise, will suck because EA has their filthy fucking hands on it. Unless they decide to change, it'll eventually fall as a must play title due to server issues, microtransactions, rushed releases, and so on.

The first Titanfall will be a fine game, the subsequent sequels will likely get screwed though.

Its from the makers of CoD, one of the most popular series in the world. I don't care for CoD (I think many of its design decisions cement dominance) but obviously it has a lot of fans and some of those fans might be drawn to Titanfall.

I'm just going to pick it up on the 360. I'm not expecting game of the year or anything but it looks like a solid and fun shooter

Titanfall graphically will suffer. Anything on Xbone is going to be disappointing. The console just doesn't have any power. It may be improved if they port it to PS4 though. Titafall really doesn't stand out as being original.

The original post should be used as a concrete definition of bias. The game is made by people who know what the masses enjoy. It has tons of hype and show awards and is a AAA game. It my be overrated maybe even mediocre but it certainly won't suck. Also, if Valve were released this game we might get it in 2020. Maybe.

So basically like every shooter to come out this gen?

Didn't read all that. I think the gameplay looks cool and, at the very least, it requires different strategy from all the infinite amount of other shooters out there. That's something to be valued, IMO. The industry doesn't have enough mainstream games that mix things up.

But dont buy Titanfall then if you dont like origin :) but you know the same thing was said about steam back in its day and you ever wonder about, how when you buy a game on steam its not really yours and if steam feels like it they can shut down your account and there is nothing you can do about it.

I think "because EA" is the answer. At least, that's what I got out of all this.
