Suikoden for sure. The first game is very good in its own right, and the second and third games are two of my favorite JRPG's ever. Really great games.

I'd go with Suikoden. Amazing amazing game. I got lucky and picked it up for $8 or $10 at Gamestop like six years ago, I've seen it selling for several times that recently.
Wild Arms is OK but it's not even in the same league as Suikoden IMO.
make sure to get the second one too. cause its related in many ways...also you can recruit your main hero in suikoden 1 in suikoden 2. Im buying it from the Playstation store for my psp and ps3. they dont have the 2nd one yet.
i never played the first Wild Arms, but i can recommend Suikoden and then Suikoden 2- my top 3 game all time!... if you already played Suikoden 2 it might be kinda hard to go back
I am pretty into the Suikoden series. The only ones I didn't care too much for were Suikoden 3 and Suikoden 4. The rest are amazing. I highly suggest you pick up Suikoden 5 ( PS2) as well as Suikoden 2 (PS1). Hell I think im going to start suikoden 5 right now for a second playthrough!
