Now that they've delayed the release of GTA IV, I really hope that the world in which they're creating turns out to be really good. I wonder if their version of NYC will end up being bigger than all of the San Andreas evironment combined? I also really wish that they included airplanes in GTA IV. But I guess I'll have to wait a couple of years for that.
Liberty City won't be as large as the whole state of San Andreas, but it is suppose to be far larger than any other city they've done, plus it has a lot more interiors to explore.
It will be as big as the three cities in San Andreas combined. Dan Houser has also said that there won't be any "dead spots" such as the desert in San Andreas -Liberty City will be packed with meaningful content.
I heard, (or read) that it's not only massive in the sprawling sense (ie a very large area), but that it's also big in the vertical sense which sounds very interesting (helicopter chases FTW)
