Poll Witcher 3 or Dragonage Inquisition? (82 votes)

Witcher 3 79%
Dragon Age Inquisition 20%

I know witcher 3 is a new release so you guys probably haven't gotten too deep into it, if so you could still compare it to the first 10 or so hours of dragonage inq.

Which out of two do you rate the best, find most enjoyable?

What does one out of the two games do better than the other?

Played Dragon Age Inquisition for over 60hrs. Got fed up with its somewhat repetitive nature(gather materials, do all the quests in the region, set up Inquisition Camps etc). Only 2hrs in Witcher 3. So far more engaging than Inquisition. I fully expect it to be an average at best RPG though.

Get Witcher 3 and wait for Divinity: Original Sin Enhanced Edition. Much better RPGs than Bioware's dating sims.

They are both great? I can't really say as I'm only 8 hours into W3, hard to say that those 8 hrs are better than the 250 I've put into DAI but it looks extremely promising.

Both are great games and very different in what they do. I prefer the dark and mature themed world of the Witcher more than the Fantasy focused world of Dragon Age.

Divinity Original Sin is probably my favorite RPG of all time, it is just mechanically perfect.

Stay away from DAI. IT is one of the worse RPG I have played in a long time. The RPG in the game is horrible but the choose your dialog and story is not too bad.

I plan one skipping W3 for now because I find the setting too fake for my taste.

The combat and controls in the Witcher 3 is terrible.

Both are great, you can't go wrong with either.

If you have to pick one now, I'd say The Witcher 3.

Dragon Age: Origins was a much stronger game than The Witcher with a more engaging storyline, better combat and controls, and better characters and interaction. However, I felt The Witcher 2 blew Dragon Age 2 out of the water, and while I think Dragon Age: Inquisition is a good game, I feel The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is just better at conveying a gritty world that feels alive, the quests feel more "organic" to the world, and the characters feel more real.

W3 is no perfect game (ok, which game is?) but it's better in every possible element. Overall narrative, characters, dialogue, combat, atmosphere, world building, art design, technical execution, choice & consequence, quest design (even for small side activities), immersion. W3 seriously mops the floor with both DAI and Skyrim, at least one level ahead of them, maybe two...

Witcher 3 is better by far. I traded my copy of Dragon Age in without finishing and without regret.

The combat and controls in Witcher 3 are substantially better and more engaging than DA:I IMO. DA:I combat is... kind of a joke

@Telekill: I too found myself struggling to complete DA:I as I loved DA:O. Played through it several times and still get on it occasionally.

I ended up trading it in as well without completing it. I kept telling myself I spent money on it might as well beat it, but still to no avail.

I am almost at the end of dragon age overall its a good game but a repetitive with some of the missions. I think I want to play a shooter before jumping into the witcher since it's such a long game.
