Lots of delays recently. *Shrugs* Its only a delay of a few months. Its nice to see a wrpg maker trying to ship a game polished rather than go the Skyrim route.

http://www.ign.com/articles/2014/03/11/the-witcher-3-wild-hunt-release-date-delayed-to-2015

"We recently reexamined what we had achieved thus far, and faced a choice about the game’s final release date. The decision we made was difficult, thoroughly considered, and ultimately clear and obvious. We could have released the game towards the end of this year as we had initially planned. Yet we concluded that a few additional months will let us achieve the quality that will satisfy us, the quality gamers expect from us. Consequently, we have set the release of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt for February 2015.

Hmm, "only" a delay of a few months, true but the release date was Fall 2014 so that means anywhere from Sept. to Dec., giving them over 6+months before they even have to start thinking about releasing the game.

So for them to already now postponed a date that is TBD Fall-2014, something is fishy.

But in the end who really cares, that developer is one of the few overhyped and overrated in the industry, its like with Dark Souls 1+2.

My only Gripe with Both Dark Souls and The Witcher is they're both RPGs.

@Jacanuk:

for me, a delay means wisdom. a realization and choice to not release an unfinished game, unlike, say, almost every other developer in existence.

i can't call them overrated with a straight face. it's that ridiculous of a notion from a small company with few games that didn't sell a lot.

I am not sure what to make of this news. I am not sure if this a good or bad. It can go either way.

Maybe they're adding Online Features, not necessarily a multiplayer component but something along the lines of Dragons Dogma's pawn sharing system.

Meh. It's just an RPG/ There are plenty of other genres of games to play.

The game has been enormously impressive so far (it would be very hard to find a more impressive one). There is very little I have seen that concerns me. Plus, the Witcher 2 is an excellent game (albeit with some flaws).

I am honestly willing to give them the benefit of the doubt.

@lumzi32:

in all honesty, i mean super-seriously, really :) i am looking at witcher3 being what skyrim isn't and possibly one of the greatest games to date.

i'm very glad they are taking the xtra time.

I could care less when this game comes out because when it does it will be epic. They even announced that this wouldn't affect the timeline for Cyberpunk 2077. If these two games are as good as they look right now, how amazing does CD Project Red look as a dev.

If it makes it a better game, I've no trouble with delays.

oh my god, i just can't wait to play it, and it delayed again.....really love witcher2 and want to play it more quickly, but if the quality of the game will be better, maybe it's worth to wait it!
