I have to say that I am really surprised by this, not even a "the bad" section in the review :o

GOTY came early

Honestly, I'm surprised it scored that high. It always looked like a promising title, but I haven't really been tracking it much recently, I kind of let it fall under my radar. I am under the impression that Jason perhaps gave too much points on innovation when, from what I've seen and read, Massive followed Relic's formula rather closely - which is great (I definitely prefer being closer to the actual combat than something overwhelming such as Supreme Commander), but not particularly innovative.

Anyway, I'm downloading the demo first thing tomorrow to see how exactly does it play for myself.

I can't say I'm overly surprised, well, maybe a little. Been monitoring the game closely for awhile, and it looks fantastic, and if everything fell into place it seemed like it could be one of the best PC games of the year. Thankfully, everything has worked out, the developers have done a fantastic job, and I can't wait to get started in multiplayer :D

I think it hasn't really been hyped that much due to the release of a bunch of other games coming out around the same period as it; Bioshock was recently released, Halo 3 comes out next week, and other popularly marketed titles such as Heavenly Sword have just overshadowed this little gem.

I wasn't really a surprise by the review score as it was bound to get a high score like most high profile releases do.

From what I on the On The Spot show you could tell that Jason really liked it.

it was a big surprise for me noein that it got 9.5 . but after playin it, it's actually no big deal. I mean yeah the graphics looks great and the sound is cool.But it's mainly concentrated in the online playin, and i dont play online. so for me i would suggest that they should had made a "skirmish" mode or somthing.rickyricardo007

But I do agree that the game is abit overrated after playing it for a while.
