worst ending

the best ending thread inspired me to make this one. What are your least favorite endings? i hated the ending in god of war 2.

I loved the ending to God Of War 2, bit cheesy, but definately made me look forward to God Of War 3. Hated the ending to Halo 2 though, seemed like they had some extra levels to use but just decided to cut them and leave an end of level cut scene as the final cinematic, rubbish.

I hate the God of War II ending because I don't have a next-gen console and I know GoW3 won't come out for PS2. -_-

I concur I mean this ending sucked! All that build up and than an anticlimax like that.

I honestly can't say that I have ever played a game which made me think "God this ending is terrible", but Twilight Princess' ending was a bit of a letdown. I found that it went into decline even before the end actually. Hopefully for the next Zelda, they start it and finish it stronger (the stuff in the middle was great for me).yakk_3

I agree, also because I don't see myself getting a PS3 for about 5 years...

Really though, it made me less excited for God of War 3 even besides that. What used to be a self-contained and entertaining plot had a made-for-a-sequel ending. Also, it's going to have to be very, very contrived for the next one considering Kratos can TRAVEL THROUGH TIME! Seriously, he could just show up before any of his enemies existed and just kill them before they grow up Terminator style. As hilarious as that would be, I would hate for God of War to turn into a Greek-themed baby-murdering simulator.

True, it was like when I saw Matrix 2 and they had that "To be continued" ending and you just knew you had to wait like 2 more years. -__- I hate that. D= Also knowing I WON'T be getting the PS3 for about 5 years also, and I will as well probabl read some spoilers for the game. :[

Lotro: the third age has the worst ending ending ever. The last third is just fight after fight then you have to go up against the Eye of Sauron (which is amazingly lame) and when you beat it the game justends with a rubbish speech and some random clips from the film
