Right now I have a ps4 and Switch, and I'm just getting started with them. But for a long time xbox has been at the back of my mind. While I didn't care for xbox 360 I kinda like what I seen of xbox one. Where do you see it going software wise? Scorpio might help xbox one grow but I'm not certain. With the bulk of of its userbase on xbox one/one s, will there be that big of support for it I mean it's not working much at all for ps4 pro. There's small handful of games I want that are xbox exclusive. Sunset Overdrive, Rare Replay, and We Happy Few. There might have been more but I'm not sure. What do you think does Xbox deserve a second chance and what's it got to offer game wise that might have slipped under the radar?

You should ask a mod to move this to System Wars.

I think so, but that's only because I was going to say something negative towards the XBone and that would trigger some people. To answer your initial question, I'd say no.

Lets wait until E3 when they reveal the scorpio then we should have a better idea if its going to be worth it or not but if your thinking of getting an xbox one I would wait until e3.

@Celsius765: Backwards compatibility, Rare Collection, Killer instinct, and Forza.

If not one of these interest you and you already have a PS4? Probably not.

Like the PS4, Xbox 1 handles multiplatform titles fairly well. But its current strengths that the PS4 and even Switch lack are the above.

I was going to get an Xbox when Scalebound dropped, grab some Gears games, Killer Instinct and see what else comes. But after the cancellation and P.C. ports. . I had little reason to not just stick with what I have. Even the awesome looking Sea of Thieves I can just grab on P.C._

The Xbox 1 is only really a viable console if its exclusive features strike you as essential over a PS4. I'm trying not to be bias here but honestly it's difficult to recommend one with your current set-up.

E3 might change that.

Well. Xbox one s can be found for 250€ 500gb with a game (I even got for 239€ on sale with battlefield one).

Considering you gonna buy it on sale for cheap it brings a 4k hdr disk player for 4k hdr movie disks. Also for such cheap price xbox one s can run games like gears of war and halo at 1080p 60fps.

price quality it is good

(I own ps4 pro xbox one s pc and switch) and my opinion is that if you get xbox one s 500gb on sale it is a good purchage

i picked one up not long ago to go alongside my ps4. got a handful of games for it but been using it more to play old 360 games. hopefully some planned exclusives for it this year will deliver.

i'm definitely interested in the scorpio too. if sony doesn't announce anything to compete with it in the not too distant future and there's some decent exclusives it'll be tempting if it lives up to the performance hype. i'm waiting until christmas time before i revisit the possibility of a switch

Well personally I feel it's worth it right now. Sure it may not have the most exclusives but the ones that it does have are some of my favourite. It's also the one that I play all the multi platform games on because I prefer the controller and many of its other features and functionalities. I also love the backward compatibility with 360 games.

@Celsius765: I have an Xbox One since late 2014. It's not a bad of a console, but however, didn't you say you was gonna build yourself a gaming PC at one point? If however you aren't interested in PC, then I say, get an Xbox One and I say this if you like to play Halo 5/Master Chief Collection for this reason but I did remember you love retro platform games right? There's Rare Replay and I can tell you now that Rare Replay is one of my favorite Xbox One exclusive game I played and that alone was worth the price I pay for an Xbox One to play Rare Replay and if you buy Xbox One, get Rare Replay and you won't regret it.

If for some reasons you chose to build a PC, you can play Xbox One games through windows 10 on PC which will save you the trouble buying an Xbox One if you already own a PS4 if it's just for 3rd party games. I think it's best to wait for Scorpio reveal and see what fits your needs after E3 2017.

I wouldn't do it tbh. PS4 is pretty much my go to console and your Switch is the icing on the cake so you can play games like Arms, Splatoon, BOTW, MK8D. If there are XB1 games that you feel like you must have then grab one. Otherwise I'd just check out E3 and see what they have to look forward to

@Macutchi: you got ps4 ans xbox one. with switch you will have the entire collection (or new 3ds xl much cheaper and with many great titles) and being the portable machine (new 3ds xl fits in pocket just fine or the normal new 3ds with optional cover change) while switch is much bigger (not pocket friendly. but can be carried in bag) xD

Anyeay with ps4 and xbox one you got enough games for a life time hahah

We'll have to wait for E3 and the first benchmarks but it seems like Scorpio will have the best versions of multi platform games (barring PC but if you wanted a PC I'm guessing you wouldn't be asking about yet another console). That would be a good incentive to get one, in addition to the Xbox exclusives. I wouldn't ditch the PS4 though since Sony is constantly churning out quality 1st and 2nd party games.

My personal opinion, Xbox One was the worst console I ever got. I actually haven't been able to put my Switch down since I got it, and I'll have more games for the Switch in one year than I ever had for the Xbox One at launch. You have a PS4 as well, so you'll have more than enough games to play between the two. There's only a handful of must play titles that I can think of on Xbox One, but even then, is it worth it to buy a third console cluttering up the living room for just a few games?

I have to agree with you. The Xbox One has been disappointing with not many exclusives that interest me other than Killer Instinct and Forza. All other 3rd party titles just seem to play and run better on PS4. Plus more Japanese supported games. I really am looking forward to E3 to see what games they'll offer for Xbox One. Although I am a little bias since I much prefer games that have that anime cel-shaded look over games with the realistic and gritty look that Xbox was known for.

Right now there no real must have for Xbox one.

If the rumor of no disc drive in the next one then there no reason for the next one?.
