No. I already have moved on from ever caring to play another 3D Realms game. Duke 3D was great in its day, unfortunately that day was in the 90's.

There is no true definition of "epic" that could account for the lulz to be had if that happened.

I don't see the reason why Duke Nuken forever is so heavily delayed. It'll most likey be a straight up shooter. That should have only taken 2 to 3 years by today's standards.

Not really. I have no real interest in playing this game. But in the end I probably will, just to see what came out of all those delays.

I believe it's taking so long because they keep going with a new engine. By the time the game is done, the engine they used has been outdated, so they scratch the engine and make/use a new one. By the time the new engine is implemented, some new gameplay mechanics have been invented, so then they have to remake/re-program the game. It could be an endless cycle if they don't hurry up and do something.

Supposedly 3D Realms are releasing it late this year, least thats what Destructoid is reporting as well as this site

http://www.bizjournals.com/dallas/stories/2008/02/04/daily17.html

But I still think its merely sepculation but whenever it comes out I'm sure its going to be awesome

Indeed. Used to be a time I cared about the next Duke Nukem FPS. Now there's so many to choose from, it's pointless.

I have some friends that work at 3d Realms here in Dallas. Some of them left and some of them are still there. Some reason for the delay was the new gaming engine but much of it was because of the heavy changes in staff and design team. It's been a bumpy ride for them. I think people really should just lay off them and focus more on other games that are out at the moment. It's not like they want to continue to delay the game.

Scared?.....Ha!

As it is my expectations for this game are one of the following...

- It never releases.

or...

- It finally releases and is mediocre at best and quickly forgetten amongst far better games in the genre.

No because it's never coming out.
