It was a good game. (final fantasy 7) would you like it if there was a remake for it, because the one for PS1 is just old.

[QUOTE="Fightingfan"]No, It would de-value my ps1 edition.arad96
How much do you think its worth right now?
Before it was downloadable via PSN it was 100-120. Now its 50-60.No. Remakes just tend to ruin the original, because they never end up remaking what made the original great in the first place.
And they take so much time, money and resources to essentially make a game that we can already play. I'd rather see them take that effort and put it into making a new game
No. The PS1 version is fine the way it is and Square Enix would probably royally screw up something like they always do this gen. Not to mention that all the money they put into making the game could be put to use in making some new good ip's for a change. I'm tired of only seeing FF, DQ, and the occasional halfway decent game at best new ip from them.
The PS1 version and PS3 PSone Classics rerelease is more than enough.
I'd be down. As long as they didn't change anything besides the graphics. If they had voices, that'd be fine too.
Yes I think they should.I'm suprised a lot of people hate the Idea of remakes. I love seeing my old favorites remade, It doesn't ruin them IMO, sometimes it makes them better by revamping the graphics and adding voice. I don't really see many remakes of old games so I really don't know why people get so upset about an old game being remade. They remade Bionic Commando and that game is awesome. On the other hand though there are a lot of franchises in my opinion that Game Developers have revitalized or brought back which I think shouldn't be done. They should just let them die and leave it in the 80's and 90's wherethey belong. Unless it's just an updated remade version of your favorite game it's not so bad but when they start adding new Ideas and adding a IV or V to the story that was finished 15 to 20 years ago then it's just rediculous.
I wouldnt mind if FF 7 was re-made, because I nearly got the change to play it when it was released onto the PS1...
I'd like it really to just get better access to it, I don't have access to PSN in my PS3 :P Though if it were done, it would really be just a face-lift.
Doesn't matter one way or the other. I'd probably check it out if it comes to fruition, but like others have stated I own a copy of the original to play whenever I please if a remake does not happen.
Eh... Once upon a time I would have been thrilled at the idea. But after watching the direction Square Enix has gone after FF10, no. I don't want them to lay a single hand on it.
The only way it'd work is with a graphical upgrade. Everything else would have to be left... Although, maybe some new translation wouldn't go amiss. No voice acting, though. Voice acting would mean an english dub was required and I don't want to hear Barret talking like Mr T any more. Advent Children was painful enough.
FFVII was very overrated, everyone loves it for some reason, but its not an FF game i would finish again, i would much prefer a remake of FFVI, the DS remake of FFIV was fantastic and i would like to see the same love for VI

I agree. It would just be a waste of money, and time.
I would Acctually enjoy a FF7 remake, for hardcore final fantasy fans, it would Probably please as long is it had a few new bonus stuff and was a PURE remake(like,nothings changed except graphics and music)
