Would you like to see a new Legacy of Kain game?

I have a gut feeling.. that this series will come back!

Suuuure Amy Henning is over at Naughty Dog making Uncharted games. She was the one who made the Soul Reaver games but not the original Blood Omen game.

I know im not the only one who wants the series to come back. So much time has past and I don't think hardly anyone knows the story anymore. So maybe a Reboot is required. I would love to see the original Blood Omen redone in todays graphics and make it 3D and stuff that would be cool. Even if they throw us some HD remakes it would be awesome. I'd buy 'em. At least give us something this gen.

With Twilight and sparkley vampires running rampant these days, it's time for the badass ones to make a come back.

The Legacy Of Kain will always remain one of my favorite videogame series of all time. The story, characters, gameplay - all perfect in their own way, albeit flawed. It's not a perfect series by any means, but it's still a damn good one.

That said, I would love to see either a HD collection happen for all platforms or a brand-new game that finally answers everything we need to know. Defiance answered mostly everything, but held a few questions left. I need them answered ASAP!

A reboot of the whole series would be great. The original game would benefit from a new release with widescreen, improved sprite and environment graphics, and no load times. But yeah, if someone could edit a ? into the thread title, I think we'd all appreciate that. The thread title is misleading. This is a question, not an announcement, and it irks the hell out of me to read titles like that, click it expecting earth moving news, then see a question with a poll. Like all the "OMG SHENMUE3??????!!!!!111!!!?" threads, then when you open it, it says "Wouldn't that be cool? Let's petition Sega about it!". It's just, ugh. Right up there with "Am I the only one" as far as terrible posting habits go for thread titles.

Thanks for the edit, much obliged. Let's just hope if we ever see more Reaver games, their is more focus on incredible fantasy environs and combat, then their is on pushing blocks around to solve lame puzzles.

Come now, as much I love the reaver series, we won't be seeing this at all. The only one with great gameplay is SR 1. Now all I want is at least a book that concludes the story...synxz

Defiance answered a lot of questions, but not everything. What about Kain? Will he able to finally complete his destiny? Will the Elder God get in his way of it? You have to remember...

[spoiler] The Elder God was buried in all that rubble while Kain escaped. He isn't dead yet and I don't think he can be killed at all, since he is immortal. Kain did enough damage with the new powers given to the sword, thanks to Raziel, to injure him, but not to kill him. [/spoiler]

So, at least in my eyes, that story isn't finalized just yet.

The franchise is awesome, it would be great to play it with today's graphics, but I'd like the same story as in the original, so I voed for a reboot. :)

Yeah, one of the biggest flaws I had with Defiance was the large amount of backtracking to undertake. Did it so many times that you just weren't sure what to do next or how to go about it until something finally clicks.

I still wouldn't give up any hope for a sequel or for a reboot. Last I remember, the Tomb Raider DLC game had Raziel and Kain become DLC characters to play. It was very interesting, to say the least!

Honestly I connected more with him than I did with Kain.

[spoiler] There needs to be a sequel because Kain successfully avoided his fate. He was supposed to be killed by Raziel in Soul Reaver 2, but it was avoided. At the end of Soul Reaver 2 the sword turns on Raziel and his spirit is supposed to be consumed there and then. Kain still being alive, he pulls the sword out of Raziel. Raziel in defiance comes back through the dead Mobeius and is impaled by Kain so he can be absorbed into the sword to defeat the Elder God. Elder God is defeated but not dead, and Kain leaves to do... what? The pillars still become decayed so the world is still going to be ruined. There is no reason Kain cannot free Raziel from the sword again somehow. The point is Kain is still alive when he should have been killed and the balance restored to the world. So the whole thing DIDN'T come full circle because they changed thier fate. [/spoiler]

I don't care if it's a game where you play as Kain, or a game where he's the bad guy again. (Isn't he the bad guy in all of them? :P)

Just give us something. A Soul Reaver 3 is possible because of what I mentioned in the spoilers above.

I'll be damned, I never heard of this game and it looks like the kind of game I would enjoy.

I miss the games. I fully admit it was loads of fun to play them in the Lara Croft Arcade game.
