Hey guys, so I have been pondering this question a bit lately, as my jealousy of The Elder Scrolls Online has been escalating, I have retreated to Skyrim, and when I get bored of Civilization V, I go to Age of Empires Online. Both these events have made me consider this would you rather;

Would you rather: return to your favorite MMO that has closed and be able to do everything with no subscription, but you cannot play with anyone since you are the only player there.... Or... Would you rather play your favorite singleplayer game but put up with players within the game with you while you progress through the story, with people being idiots in the game and killing the NPC's and making progress in the story hard.

I personally would do the single player choice; as someone who played the last two years of Star Wars Galaxies I cannot bear returning to a MMO, no matter how good, without my friends. Honestly, I could learn to tolerate all the players goofing off and making progressing through the story harder.

Lol, I think I understood it just fine. Basically, would you rather play your favorite MMO with nobody else at all in the game, or play your favorite SP game but have it be populated by players as if it were an MMO. Like, imagine Skyrim with other players roaming around.

I don't really play MMOs, but I think those are both pretty bad situations. MMOs, as far as I know, tend to rely on other players what for trading and grouping up to complete tasks and whatnot. A SP game populated by other players, on the other hand, would be a complete nightmare. Any kill-able NPC would be dead in minutes. All good loot would be claimed, given that it doesn't respawn. Pretty much it would just make the game feel like an online free roam, which I guess is what it really would be.

So, yeah. I guess I would choose playing an MMO and having the entire game world to myself, even if it would lose purpose after a while.

I pick the MMO choice since I usually play by my lonesome self anyway, but it would be scary going through empty parts of the world.

I will admit, the single player sounds interesting to see, but it would lose it's novelty very quickly.

^If you don't understand TC's question, @SoNin360 explains it well.
