I'm not a big fan of paying money for DLC. Not at all.
I know that lots of people want physical media to die, and for DLC to take over the music, gaming, and movie mediums. Fair enough.
All I can say is that if that happens, I'll end up buying a hell of a lot more books. Not gonna jump on that bandwagon. Maybe I'll have to end up resorting to starting a vegetable garden, or whatever the hell people did to occupy their time before movies and videogames existed.
No, I'm sure there would still be the same amount of cry babies. At least with DLC, we occasionally get longevity.
I like DLC. Gives them a chance to expand old games.Pvt_r3d
It's nice when it's used that way, I suppose.
Not so nice when it's used on day one or not even a month later, or is already on the disk but must be paid extra for, or gives advantages in online play, etc.
Nah DLC is great.. - - - -- - - - If it were freejasopanI couldnt agree more, if DLC was free or very cheap, then yeah it would be great, but I hardly buy DLC, purely cause I want to save my money for full games
So blame DLC or blame the suckers that buy it?
What I want to know is how many people are buying the LBP skins. They keep coming out with them so people have to be buying them.
I agree. Theres no way to know whether the DLC was made by stripping stuff out of the original copy.(Except those that are blatantly obvious *cough* Street fighter 4 colors *cough*)Its too big of a uncertaintyand givesgamers too much of a disadvantage. Of course, by theory, they are made to extend the lifespan of games, but we'll never know if the developers are being honest about it.
DLC just shouldnt exist IMO, not even to expand the life of a game.
Games should just be released and go down in history being what they were at launch and not what devs turned them into after DLC just like how a movie or a book is what it was 10 years ago when it was released. If you look at your older collection of games, Legend of Zelda is Legend of Zelda. Everything is there. If you look at your collection of games from this generation, Call of Duty isnt Call of Duty. Its only Call of Duty 1.0, but you can make it 2.0 if you own all the map packs and missions the developers have included in the DLC.
Besides, all this time and work can be used to make the sequel or a different game. But if this happened, then it would suck for Team Fortress 2 players. :? So I guess really free DLC is the way to go.
