WoW or EQ or both a Waste?

Ok I'm in this one room in school and two people in there get into a big discussion and they are my friends though. But one of them plays Everquest and the other plays World of Warcraft and I don't play both because I think they are a waste and you are gonna get no where in that game. But they wouldn't stop they kept on discussing on which is better though thats why I'm asking you to state your opinion either you like WoW and side my one friend, or EQ and side with my other friend, or just think they are both stupid and side with me. So just post whatever you want on here I guess.

In single-player games, the objective is to get to the end, and (hopefully) have fun along the way. In MMORPGs like WoW and EQ, the objectives are numerous...get more powerful, acquire cool equipment, engage in PvP, make friends and overcome challenges along with them. If you have fun doing any of this, then it isn't a waste.

EQ is a much older, more difficult, and group-centric game. But if you're talking about EQ2, then it's pretty much comparable to WoW in terms of gameplay. From a graphical standpoint, EQ2 favours realism, while WoW goes with the fantasy/cartoon/comic book approach.

No game is a waste of time. Saying that is hypocrite, because it depend of the taste of the person.

I enjoyed everquest when I played it. I just think some expansions killed that game, lousy GMs, and buggy ingame. Waste of time, sure, but what video game isn't?

Ok I just want peoples opinions so in school the next day I can tell them what other people think, so I think I do make sense all I want is your opinion thats it no problems because that will make you look like an idiot.
