Year 2008: PlayStation2 gaming

So the PS2 is still very much alive with plenty of games still being released this year. So what PS2 games were/are you waiting for in 2008?

I'll name a few I can come up with right away:

Twisted Metal: Head On - Extra Twisted Edition, Odin Sphere, Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters, Alone in the Dark, Mercenaries 2, Tomb Raider Underworld, Crash: Invasion of the Bandicoot Snatchers

You forgot Silent Hill Origins.

In MGS Essentials the PSX MGS will be on a black CD-R and will require you to have a PSX memory card to save your games (unless your playing on a PS3)

I'll be looking for Persona 3: FES once its released. Other than that, I'll work on buying the games that I've been interensted in but have never bought, such as Star Ocean 3, Ratchet & Clank games, Jak & Daxter games, Sly Cooper, rebuy GTA, you get my drift.

This will be over the next few years though, considering the games that are now coming out for current gen platforms and my insatiable urge to play PS1 games, which last night I began FFIX and Spyro. :D

Spyro is one of my favorite games. Its just amazing.

I never actually played the full game, only the demo on one of those demo discs that came with the PSone. I always wanted to play the game, but back then I wasn't the gamer I am today so I just was like... eh...

But a friend bought the game on PSN and gave it to me, so I'm finally able to play it. :D

definitely P3:FES and there are still so much rpg's left i haven't played that i probably could have skipped the next-gen consoles.

Persona 4 is announced for PS2 in japan and with the success of Persona 3 a north american release in late 2008 or early 2009 is most possible in my opinion.

Might get Odin Sphere. Manhunt 2 coming out in the UK in July I think, and I think the Crash series are running out of ideas I loved the PS1 games of Crash but the new ones are getting repetative and boring. I'm I the only person who thinks the Crash games are getting lamer.

COD4 is coming out for PS2? Wow, I did not know that. I also didn't know GOW creator did the new Twisted Metal. That's cool, I'm really glad I picked it up now.earthmonkeyyy

Woah, that's so good for me. I won't have to pay $50 for MGS now.

The best thing about all these new titles is that it gives us all lots of time to get out there and find all the classics we need in our collections. The EB's will be stocking PS2 games both used and new probably until Christmas.
