You know whats funny about game reviews

Alot of people wait for game reviews like myself but when the reviews come in and they are not like they had hoped that site looses some credibility to that person. Im not saying all people who wait on reviews do this just the many I see in these forums. Like for example the army of two reviews some sites did not give it a very high score, here go people who have yet to even play the game criticising the reviewers. The only thing i've noticed is with this site in relation to the Playstation. Let me say i own a 360 and a PS3 so i'm not some salty fanboy on here like other people. I'm very objective and don't care about who thinks which system is better, but of late there is something really fishy going on with this site in relation to sony. After the Ratchet and Clank review people got scepticle, but i wasn't buying it. THen the Uncharted review came in a lot lower than other sites and i started watching a little closer. Now the God of War review is once again lower on this site than all others. After hearing some of the other stories about former reviewers and their reasons for getting fired, combining that with the reviews on this site, i'm officially convinced this site is anti sony. This site lost all respect from me when it comes to playstation games. No one site should ever be the be all end all of a review, you should always go to a site like gamerankings that gives you an average of a wide variety of reviews, but it is just always funny how when it comes to playstation products this site is always given the lowest score. Kind of weird huh?
I'd disagree with that. Did it ever occur to you that maybe GS is just writing better reviews, and the other sources are in fact overrating these games? GS is usually ripped for their reviews in the days after the games release, but in the end I'd say 95% of GS reviews are spot on (but don't get me started on that 5%). For example look at Jade Empire, which scored a 9.9 over at IGN but only an 8.4 here. While there was a great deal of backlash from Xbox and Bioware fans at the beginning, I think the majority of people would say GS was spot on. Or look at the Zelda:TP fiasco, again GS was ripped for naming Zelda TP something less than the second coming, but I'd say GS actually overrated TP, which was essentially a better looking version of OoT.The only thing i've noticed is with this site in relation to the Playstation. Rather than using other review sources (which for all we know are being payed off by Sony), explain to me why these PS3 games deserve higher ratings. What is it about R&C that makes it "great" rather than just "good"? What makes Uncharted an 8.5 or 9 rather than an 8? What great innovation is there in GoW:CoO that would warrant a 9+?
