People shouldn't be allowed to post if they haven't played most of them (especially the older ones). I can't say because I haven't played Final Fantasy III and its' supposed to be one of the best.
Final Fantasy VIII...it was the first one I played (I went back and played VII though) I love the characters and the setting.....even though a lot of people don't
Final Fantasy VIII is my personal favorite. Seems to be frowned upon by a lot of FF fans because of the draw system, and the fact that the game doesn't work on an MP system. Personally though, I love it.

That's utter nonsense. Mine is FF13, it's the most basically enjoyable FF game I've played yet, and it has a great cast and story. Final Fantasy 13 is no final fantasy, just still using the franchise' s name, i consider that Final Fantasy series finished at FF X, after that its only different games carring the FF name for comercial reasons.

Was that an attempt to make yourself sound like a dedicated gamer or something? Just because someone may have only played half of them doesn't mean they can't have a favorite out of the ones they have played. Me? I'm a FFX fan myself.

You don't have the power or authority to decide what qualifies as a "real" Final Fantasy game. The series did not end with FFX, it simply continued on without you. The series is bigger than your individual needs and preferences. The man asked what my favorite FF is, and that's my answer. Deal with it.
It's hard for me to pick between Final Fantasy 7 and 9. I hated the GF system on 8 and couldn't get used to the aesthetics and linearity of 10. I have yet to play 12 or 13, but I doubt that would make much of a difference in my preference any way. With that said, I guess I'd have to go with 7 if I had a gun to my head, but 9 also holds a special place in my heart.

Are you hurt ? Off course I don´t have authority to decide it, but how i played most FF titles i think i could give my opinion, the franchise is losing the " FF soul " after FF X ( some elements that define the franchise gonne - it is obvious on FF XII - but still being a good game ). And every single gamer or fan needs are important ... but if not outnumbered it counts alot, we can change something, like Blizzard did with Starcraft 2 when lots of fans disliked some changes made with units appearence ( some units was looking very different of their versions in the first Starcraft), so they heard the fans and kept the original look.
