My personal favorite city is Bravil, the snow, the log houses, not to keen on the yellow guard outfits but you cant have it all..
Plus it's right next to Cloud Ruler Temple, thus making the city more secure!

They are all pretty much similar, if not identical. I'd say I'd have a favorite but to be honest - there were zero memorable cities. Hell, I played Oblivion more recently than Morrowind but I can atleast say I remember cities like Balmora, Ald-Ruhn, Tel Mora, etc. from Morrowind.GodLovesDead
Erm, have you played Oblivion? Anvil and Bruma are apparently the same? Bravil and Cheydinhal also, right? Not really. My favorite city would have to be...eh, I love 'em all. :P
I mostly hung out in my Shivering Iles palace and the other downloaded places like Frostcrag Spire and the assassins lair. but my favorite city that you dont have to download would prolly be Skingrad or Bruma. but i do sometimes go to the ashed ramains of Kavatch so i dont really have a favorite city that you dont downloadirockandroll
And, buddy. Be less cavalier when revealing content, I didn't know that you were given a palace in the Shivering Isles. I hate spoilers...
I liked he seaside city of Anvil; the architecture and the water make it stand out to me.
Sometimes it was cool to just stand on the hill overlooking the city on a sunny day and take in the view.
(I will admit the Giant Crab shell in Ald'Ruhn in Morrowind is difficult to top.)

Can't say I agree with you! The developers had put an immense effort in producing different cultural and natural environments in Oblivion's cities and I must say the result is beyond my imagination.
As for the question, I like Imperial City the best because it's like a capital in the whole districts. Also plenty of important and interesting quests happen there.

sorry dude didnt mean to spoil anythingI'd have to say Anvil, it really nailed down the quaint seaside town vibe perfectly. Cheydinhal is nice too what with that lovely little park and lake leading to the castle. Man, now I have an urge to get back to Cyrodiil - I can just imagine the mods that are out by now.

Anvil is a great town too. I always forget about it since it is in the bottom corner of the map.rragnaar
Yeah, you forgot once again. Leyawiin is in the South, Anvil is West of Kvatch. You probably haven't even been there, Khajiit kerr! :P

It was just poor wording on my part. I should have said the bottom west corner of the map. I know where Anvil is.
Ass.:P
rragnaar
You call bottom West corner better wording?
Admit it! You've never even heard of it until now!
If you didnt notice the different architechture id say to look harder because they are different. My favorite is Cheydinhal.

HAHAHA, i love how you went this far just to prove you know where it is!..and yes, it is in the most west-est part of the game!!
But the most bottom part of the map is Leyawin!
bravil- loved those wooden houses and that fact that it was linked to the imperial city and leyawin by a big canal running strait through it- also you go down the canal on that weird mission to the casle were you needed the key to get out- didnt know who to believe.
Speaking of missions..
I did the Boot's of Springheel Jack and killed someone and hed to pay a blood price of the gray fox...
He was really angry and i had to go to the guy who hangs round the waterfront in the leather armour and payed him the blood price.
Once it was payed, he gave me the 500 gold i was own for the mission....but The Boot's of Springheel Jack mission wasn't compleat..it's still in my incompleat quest list..
Every time i take to the gray fox, he jsut say's 'G away, i need time to think'!
I left it a week in the game, and he's still doing it...what do i do?
I havn't been given any other orders from him, the quest just say's, 'you have payed the blood pice' or something like that......WTF?! Where too now?!

did you use the key given to you by Jackben to collect the boots from the crypt in the basement? Once you do that, you can then give the shoes to the Gray fox, and the quest will be completed.
My favorites in order:
1- Anvil, for it's quests and it's awesome and cheap house. The docks there also have a GREAT view. It's the most beautiful city.
2- Skingrad, My favorite house in the game is there, plus on the other side of my house is a totally haunted house. Ooh spooky!
3- Cheydinhal, for the DB Headquarters, definitely the best source of quests in the game.
4- Imperial City, for it's underground network of sewers to explore. The underground entrance to the palace is the second coolest area in the game (Mankar Camoran's Paradise being the first.)
Also, if Shivering Isles counted, then, Bliss would definitely be the best city, it's so pleasing to the eyes:)

Aww man i can't remember..
I think i broke into his house, found him and took the key to the catacomb..went to the basement (but i technicaly broke into the basement because the red mark was there)..then i entered the catacombs and killed all the vampired using the Strong potion of chamelion, Shadowhunt (a bow) and glass arrows..
I then got to the coffin, got the diary...listened to Jackben Imble (Jack-Be-Nimble for Trivia fans) rant on for a bit and killed him...i came back a few days later, only to realise that Jakben had the boots in his inventory..i then took them to the gray fox and he was pissed so i payed the blood price for killing someone (might have been the earl of where-ever)..i payed the money to the guy you first talk to when you join the theves guild..
Then i went to take to the Gray fox, be just kept saying I need time to think.....and thats it..thats all he say's, i will try him again because a week has passed in teh game and it might have changed but the Boots of -Jack quest is stilll incompleat..the current topic on the 'to-do' list to finish it is 'you payed the blood price'....WTF!?!? i dont even have any markers to go to!!
I haven't accidently activated a glitch have I? becausei herd there are tings you can do to mess up the theves guild!!
