My bad if this has been done before. I'm new to the series, Skyrim being my 1st and will hopefully backtrack to playing some of the others.

What stood out the most in each one you've played? For example:

Morrowind - best story

Skyrim - best gameplay

Personally I think Skyrim is the weakest of the bunch, and anybody that has played since Arena will know that.

I would say a straight tie between Morrowind and Skyrim. On one hand, Morrowind is that hardcore RPG that you can get lost in for hours once you figure out what you're doing. On the other hand, Skyrim is a more streamlined, yet involved RPG that does the same exact thing. I'd say that the only thing Skyrim probably has over Morrowind in my case is the environment.

Morrowind. With it's laughably dated combat, graphics, and animations, it is still more immersive and memorable than skyrim and oblivion.

Oblivion still has a special place in my heart though

Morrowind. The world had the most interesting monsters and environments. The story is pretty decent and there's a lot of options with how you want to play your character. It's dated, but still good.

Morrowind. The world, music, atmosphere and everything were fantastic. I was in awe of it when I was a kid, and still am now. It's bloody amazing. While the combat is laughaly bad, theres alot of choice in playstyles which makes the game very fun. But I know all Morrowind fans will remember the amazing world and lore crafted by Bethesda, which in 2002 dared to not copy Tokein

Daggerfall. Oblivion was a train wreck in every way possible and a bad game. If you like it your opinion is wrong, and you should feel bad for being the cancer destroying gaming and society. Skyrim is a decent action adventure but it isn't an RPG. Morrowind was okay, but broken. That, and cliff racers. F*** cliff rac- *SCREEEEEEEEEEE*

Morrowind hands down...Oblivion was a good game but the Oblivion gates were awful. Im just not getting into Skyrim as much as Ive hoped. I have 66 hours in it since launch. Pretty sure once I beat it Ill never touch it again unless some DLC gets my attention. Oblivion I played through on the 360 and just some of the main story and guild quests on PS3, but couldnt get into it much again. Morrowind I put well over 750 hours into

I have not played the first two games but I would have to say Morrowind has been my favourite, whilst both Oblivion and Skyrim have refined the game mechanics I feel as though they have also each removed a lot of the player choice. For instance being a mage is certainly a lot easier now but they have nowhere near the variety of spells available in Morrowing (where's my levitate!) Also you just can't beat Morrowinds game world, so unique

Easily Skyrim cause the scenery is just amazing in it. Though Morrowind had the crown before Skyrim while Oblivion was the worst.

After playing Morrowind and Oblivion, it boggles my mind how people mention Skyrim in the same tier as those games. I can only imagine they haven't played Morrowind and Oblivion.

Anyway, Oblivion for me hands down.

I liked Skyim and Oblivion. I tried playing Morrowind, which seemes like a wonderful game, but little outdated nowadays.

Onlivion is my favorite. It's the perfect blend of action and exploration. Combat is fun and fluid and the controls are the best yet. Also I prefer the lush, cosmopolitan world of Cyrodill to the bleak, muddy bog of Morrowind or the barren, provincial tundra of Skyrim. Morrowind may have more depth, but combat is unintuitive and random, you can't block and some enemies are flat out impossible at lower levels. There's very little in terms of voice acting and immersion suffers from it. Skyrim removed the quick spell button, meaning you have to switch to a spell in one hand in order to cast it, effectively making all two handed weapons useless unless you spam healing potions and give up offensive spells entirely. Also there's more loot than stores can buy from you, so half the game is spent on loading screens while going from town to town looking for a store that has enough money to buy your stuff. There's also way less spells and they're far less creative.

I have to say Morrowind because it's got more depth than Skyrim plus class specializations, more skills, and more weapon variety. That being said, Skyrim is a very close second with its immersive customization, world, and fantastic visuals. Oblivion is the only other ES title I've played and it a great game no doubt. It doesn't, however, match up to the depth offered by both Skyrim and Morrowind.

Oblivion. It was my 1st in the series. I much prefer the world of Oblivion, the desgin of it, the towns, the architecture, the green, lush, bright & beautiful environments. It has a very enjoyable & humorous tone to it as well

Skyrim takes itself too seriously & the world itself is deeply depressing. After beating the main quest i just cant go back to it.

I miss castle missions too ( my favorite quests )! this is a crime. I loved the epic castle quests, trying to sneak by guards, going through hidden doorways through the castles. There were many of these in Oblvion. In Skyrim the castles desgins were pathetic & there were no quests here because of it. They're all dungeon quests

I miss the camera zooming in on the person i was talking too, the quick spell button, the inventory categories when retreiving things from a chest. I just feel the world, the characters, the quests, the music, the humor, & the lore in Oblivion was much better.

I would still like to play Morrowind ( because people tell me its the best one) but i feel it may be terribly outdated & i wont enjoy it as much as i would have had i played in on its original release. Maybe one day ill give it a try.

STOP RIGHT THERE CRIMINAL SCUM!!!!

Oblivion - no contest. While Skyrim was no doubt great, it didn't change the gameplay in any fundamental way which makes it more of a re-hash than a true sequel.

Skyrim. It's easily the most immersive, the graphics are amazing, and while I felt it was somewhat short (regarding the main quests and the factions) and didn't give the player many options, it's still one of my favorite TES games.

I've played Morrowind, Oblivion, and Skyrim. Skyrim by a landslide, in terms of the overall package. Although, Morrowind had some great environments to explore.
