Mine has got to be Mushroom Hill Zone from Sonic and Knuckles, what about the rest of you?

I've still not beaten Gunstar Heroes, and that probably has some epic levels in the concluding chapters so I'm going to have to go with the Final Mission of Metal Slug 3 just because it is so ultimately, stupendously, ridiculously, extremely, epic.

I dare you to go watch a no death run through on youtube; it's insane.

Oh that's easy, the big level in Super Mario 3. The level where everything except mario is 10x there regular size. It may not be that big of a deal now, but when it came out i remember every single commercial for that game ALWAYS included a look at that level. It was crazy at the time

The good future of mechanic madness (whatever the last set of levels is) of Sonic CD. It is a pain to get there, but when you do it is so...peaceful...truly an experience I will never forget. Actually, any level of Sonic CD rocks.

And anything from Jazz Jackrabbit. Especially the Christmas episode (the one with the carol of the bells background music).

ah yes, big world was always my favorite. the game is so epic though, I must have beat it a million times by now.

my favorite level however was that one in Donkey Kong Country where you're in the mines and you are driving the little cart while dodging stuff and jumping gaps. I still have every jump and maneuver memorized to this day.

yep big world in super mario 3, and the desert worlds in super mario 2, i love the dig mechanics. and the ghost houses in super mario world.

also the storm levels in ninja gaiden 3, had to wait for lightening before you could see where you were going. was so annoying but it was kinda fun in a weird way.

Wow. There are many choices...

I would have to say the 1st level of Shinobi (Arcade version).

I guess it would be Green hill zone from Sonic the Hedgehog. Starlight zone will be a close 2nd, heck Sonic is the best side scrolling game I have ever played, Revenge of Shinobi is 2nd.

The impossible maze in Yoshi's Island. That one was so fun to try and figure out. But I also loved the final level in Yoshi's Island just as much... in fact, every level in Yoshi's Island was a blast.

Green Hill Zone. It's still the only good thing about Sonic IMO. I hated when they just turned him into a speed whore.
