Your favorite puzzle games

Just curious to know what kind of puzzle games you guys like! I've really doubled down on playing them lately, but wanted to see if there were some out there that I haven't played before.

The list of puzzle games I like to play:

• Portal & Portal 2
• Tetris series
• Dr. Mario
• Pokemon: Puzzle League Champion
• Super Puzzle Fighters 2 Turbo
• Braid

I don't play puzzle games that much but there fun for killing time when your bored playing shooters.

The Portal games instantly come to mind. Other games with puzzle elements like Valiant Hearts: The Great War and Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons come to mind, though I liked those games more for the story/narrative.

Man there's heaps... but the Portal games (especially 2) are still the best I think.

Generic answer, but Portal.

Super Puzzle Fighter 2 Turbo and Puzzle Quest are two that I really enjoyed.

Critter Crunch, Lumines, and Tetris_

It's not a genre I've invested much in but they're good distractions when needed. Critter Crunch is the only one out the three that I played as more than just an idle distraction.

The room 1, 2 and 3 were pretty good. Check 'em out on android or steam. Machinarium is pretty good aswell.

Depends on what I'm in the mood for - lots of great stuff out there. My favorites include Myst, Riven, Tetris, Wetrix

Portal games and amnesia games

I don't really get attached to puzzle games. Good ones seem to be few and very far between. Last one that I played and enjoyed was the Witness and Anitchamber.

Played Ethan Carter recently. It was nice to see a ' walking sim' with actual interaction.

Got The Witness on the back burner.

Lumines, Puzzle Quest and Portal

Just to mention different ones, 2 of my first PC games: Sanitarium and Grim Fandango.

EDIT: Monkey Island games are up there as well.

Lumines is great and it got a iOS / Android release a few months back. It just doesn't play well on touch screenm otherwise it's pretty good.

@lucidique: Never tried it with touch screen, I can't imagine that working well to be honest.

P.S. "Portal", "Portal 2", "Talos Principle", especially "The Witness" are weak for me

My preferred are those in Batman Arkham Knight.

But of course those in SOMA are very good too.

And the one in the new game Get Even look pretty interesting.

Watch Dogs games. All those hacking and climbing puzzles are great. The first WD game had much more challenging puzzlez, though.

Am I really the first person to mention Bust a Move?!

Mercury is pretty good too, and Super Monkey Ball is one of my favorite games of all time.

Might and Magic: Clash of Heroes

Both games have pretty solid and challenging mechanics and unique and really well thought-out concepts. Especially the local pvp is in both games outstanding.

Professor Layton. Also if you consider Legend of Zelda and Ace Attorney series as puzzle games then sure both of them are in.

Portal 1 & 2.

The Witness

It's nothing like you've ever played before.. There is no real storyline. It is basically just you trying to make sense of the super pretty world you are in whilst completing a tonne of puzzles. It's really good if you just want to kick back and play something relaxing and aesthetically pleasing.

How could no one have mentioned Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine? The PvP and music in it are tooooo good.

I know mahjong is an old style game, but I'm so addicted to the new Mahjong Clash, it's so addictive competing against other people (I didn't know that was possible).

I didn't know Dr. Mario was so popular. Man I remember playing it as a kid on my NES. I always got super nervous picking the highest difficulty, when the viruses are almost at the top from the start lol. Good memories. From newer ones, Braid and Clash of Heroes are my favorites.

As most people have said, the Portal series, but Tetris is always fun as well; especially the one on DS with all the different modes.

I'm love logic/puzzle games.

My favourite puzzle game is a Logicube (play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sokimicro.LogicCube),

My second game is 1024, and next is a portal series.

I still play 1024 sometimes when I'm bored... Tetris too

The Professor Layton games on the DS for sure. Haven’t got around to playing the 3DS titles though.

No matter what I will love Portal 2 for it's simple complexity and masterful design.
