Haze was what I would call fun crap. I did like Star Wars: Episode 1 (PS1) when that released but I wasa kid who didn't know any better.

Star Wars: Shadows of The Empire for Nintendo 64. I probably enjoyed it so much because I loved the book.

i dont think shadow of the empire was technically bad i mean hell i loved that game as well

if were gonna go the game that was underrated compared to alot of crap made in there time i would say lost odyssey its like if you took final fantasy 13 and made it by the actual final fantasy creator and it wasnt crap

Star Wars Episode 3 on the PS2, I absolutely loved the lightsaber duels in that game and still play it from time to time. Mercenaries 2, I loved the fact that any problem in the game can be solved by an air-strike, for instance; got a fence blocking your path? nuke it outta your way! or is that guerrilla bugging you? carpet bomb the bastard to kingdom come! That was pretty much the game's attitude towards everything and it was great.

Not sure if it counts but by bad review scores I would say the new Medal of Honor. I really enjoyed that game. Also to what some others said I'm not sure if shadows of the empire was a bad game but to this day it's in my top 3 star wars games.

Suppose that cancels out Mario Kart 64. To this day I have no idea how Gamespot gave it a 6.4, but everyone loved it.

Following your criteria, I'd have to give it to Juiced. Most reviews criticise its flow, but the driving is solid, if a bit stiff. The soundtrack was epic. I myself spent countless hours customising cars on it. Races were good because there was no traffic, making it more realistic (even though it was an arcade racer). Might play it tomorrow.... :P

Pandered? I think you mean panned. :P

Anyway I quite enjoyed the new Wolfenstein and Aliens Vs. Predator. They're pretty standard fare and I can no doubt see why they weren't viewed kindly but I thought they were pretty enjoyable.

Possibly Two Worlds? A few buddies and myself had so much fun playing on that P.O.S. lag-infested game and we can never explain why. The shier silly-ness of it all was amazing.

Either Frontlines: Fuel of War for PC or Wu-Tang: Shaolin Style for PSX. Frontline is a poor man's FPS, but something about it just made me plow through the single player and I actually had a blast with it. As for Wu-Tang, well... I don't know, I didn't even like Wu-Tang so I can't fathom as to how I enjoyed the game so much...

even reviewers enjoyed that game for some reason fuels of war was a poor mans fps but with the huge player unit and all the machines and stuff you could dick around with its almost like playing a beta test version of mag xD

There are a few recent medicore to bad games that I really enjoyed

1.) Fuel (PS3) - While this was not the most polished racer, I felt the game was fun offline if you got into it. There was enough depth and a ton of content to keep you playing and the gameplay was fun. it was an an interesting game that I think was trying to go with over the top action but fell somewhere in between a an arcade and simiulation racer. You could not just hit turns are full speed during races, you had to use proper turning mechanics and racing inside corners on tracks was a must.

2.) Splatterhouse (PS3) - Yes the game was unpolished, there were some annoying issues with core gameplay, long load times, touchy control issues during 2D levels, and the levels at times got repetitve. But it was actually a fun game to play through and I actaully went back to play through on the hard difficulty. It had a trowback feel to it, a certian sense of art and if you didn't expect to much from it, the game delivered a fun experience.

3.) Sniper Ghost Warrior (PS3) - I know the reviews for this game were pretty low, but the overall gameplay was not bad. The game was far from broken, and it actaully portrayed the Sniper gameplay pretty good. On the higher difficulty, the AI was ridiculous, but on the normal and easy settings, the game was fine. The AI still had a knack for being insanely accurate at very far difference, but once you got used to this, the game was not too hard.

I picked both Sniper Ghost Warrior and Fuel for 14.99, pretty cheap and it was not wasted money. Splatterhouse I paid full price for, so I expected more from that title, but I was not disappointed at the end of the day with that purchase

I rented timeshift back around its release and I thought it was solid too. I am guessing the game is super cheap right now, I might look for it and purchase it to play through it again

Critics complained it has no story... name on wrestling game that has been helped by it's story. I still play it and enjoy it over all the UFC and MMA games.

Too Human. While it does have some issues I didn't find it quite as bad as most others and had a lot of fun playing. I'm actually hoping a sequel gets made. I also really enjoyed Dante's Inferno.

I was about to say Mario Kart 64. I can see I'm not the only one who feels this way. The game was pretty good for its time. It was enjoyable both solo and with friends. I rented it quite a few times and have some fond memories.

a game that alot of people hated but i quite enjoyed mainly because people thought it was to difficult was resonance of fate... yes it was complicated and yes the instruction in game translations sucked but after figuring out that a bazel is taken up every time you do your style moves the game became WAYYY more manageble

The most recent for me would be the Splatterhouse remake. Graphical bugs galore, bad pacing, and every time it tried to deviate from the reasonably enjoyable (but sloppy) core combat it became an unplayable mess. But despite that I still found the game mindlessly fun to play.

I thought Army of Two was decent especially with a friend even though there wasn't online mode and I don't think it had trophies. I believe it got a 6 on gs or close to that.

And while I wasn't in love with FFXIII, I thought it was decent. It had meh characters and linear maps but I thought everything else was good. Except for the level-hormonal monsters that seem to go from incredibly easy to having so much hp, I would fall asleep playing them.

Spider-Man: Web of Shadows isn't a bad game, but it's definitely mediocre. I wouldn't play it if not for the fact that I'm a huge Spidey fan. Unfortunately, it's also one of the best superhero games, which says a lot about the genre.

It's the only game that comes to mind right now because I've played it recently most "mediocre/bad" games fall out of memory quickly.
