For overall enjoyment as a fine balance between story and mechanical depth? I'm slightly torn.
Non SRPG, it's probably Chrono Trigger. It's just a wonderfully balanced game that doesn't overstay its welcome or try to drown the player in a bloated story. Well made and respecting the players journey without padding.
SRPG? Between Disgaea 5 or Divinity: Original Sin II. Baldur's Gate III may take that title but time will tell. Just well designed games. D5 has easily the worst story in any Makai Senki Disgaea, however the gameplay is easily the series most refined and customisable that it's easy to loose track of its weak story cast and 'campaign'. The end game bosses are also the series finest along with best overall level design for stage layouts. OSII speaks for itself, it's just a near perfect game, the two shield types throw some off but it's a fine system once you embrace how the game is designed. Comes down to positioning, elements, and team combos.
Admittedly I play way more Strategy Role Playing Games over Traditional Turn-Base; as I find the latter usually brain-dead and boring in most cases, more as a slog than enjoyable.
