Any action game enemy that flies, especially in loopy patterns. Like the medusa heads in old Castlevania, skeleton fish in Ninja Gaiden, the demons in white robes in DMC3 that circle around you and can move through walls and the floor, the little red demons in Super Ghouls N' Ghosts that fly around and avoid every attack you make... stuff like that. And anything that cheap shots you from behind or from outside of the camera view.
And Half-Life head crabs. If I saw one in real life I really would bludgeon it with a crowbar.
Oh man, I hate enemies like that. Numerous, frequent, hard-to-hit, and so weak in attack and defense you wonder what their purpose could possibly be other than to aggrivate the player. This is what makes games like, say, RE4 or Final Fantasy Tactics so great, because every single baddie is capable of taking you out alone, requiring skill to defeat, not mindless, repetetive shooting and hack 'n' slash.
Best example I can think of are the little wall-crawlie things that haunt practically every narrow corridor in Metroid Prime 3. All they do is slow you down; I don't think I've ever actually been attacked by one.
It´s called"escort mission"...if a game is too easy a escort mission pops up to kill the fun you had before,so I call it an Enemy!
But overall the worst enemys are snipers.I mean those who shoot even through walls (thanks to unclean programming) or ALWAYS hit and if you had the luck to pass them you couldn´t stop thinking it was a A.I.-Bug...I hate even people who play as snipers on minimaps (Soldier Front anyone?) or use the one-shot-kill almost as a melee weapon  ...those guys are just afraid of fighting...N00BS!
You know what I'm on about? I'm talking about those damn critter enemies that make you cringe whenever you see them scampering down the hallway or soaring from the skies with intent to gnaw at your health bar. Examples include the manhacks in Half-Life 2, the harpies in God of War and bats in Zelda. So, of this specific type of enemy, which one maddens you the most?dave003
I think probably GodModeEnabled, or GamingGeek take the cake for me. Those guys.... soooo annoying.
Cliff Racers are the spawn of satan... and the regenerators from RE4 freaked me out.rragnaar
GG will only go down with a laser type weapon, but GME is easy, you just stand near a cliff and let him run at you. He has really bad AI and just flys off.

My most hated 'annoying' enemy in gaming are the 12 yr. old that are immature and the rude stoner sounding kids on XBL.jdknight21
Just snipe them.
Headcrabs. They have ridiculously low health, but they're hard to hit if they're not scittering. When they're flying at you, guns are fairly difficult. Timing your hits with the crowbar is difficult if you're taken by surprise, too, since you probably won't have it out too often.
And I don't know what they're called but those uber headcrabs that do massive damage are annoying, too.
The armed lizard men in phantom hourglass..., i hate chucking boomerangs at them...
sheez and the hammer kills them in two blows. what whimps.
Medusa heads, Flood Spores, and Barbarians in the Civ games pretty much sum up my list.
Oh, and those games that have cutscenes before boss battles. And every time you die, you have to watch the cutscene again and can't skip it. And this boss is hard so you die a lot. I consier the cutscene my enemy...
Everyone else seems to share my hatred of small enemies that do little damage, take little damage, and move far too quickly. I don't get as annoyed with ones that merely crawl around, though, like Halo's Flood or Half-Life's headcrabs. I mostly just hate tiny flying creatures, particularly in FPS games.
Cliff racers are also terrible, half for the ghastly noise they make and half because you can't rest while they're around and they sometimes get stuck on scenery or nothing in particular in their laborious descent to your character. Modding them out of Morrowind should be anyone's first to-do before firing up the game.
I also hate enemies that spam knock-backs. Champions of Norrath has a number of these - miniboss ranged characters that fire explosive fireballs. The time between their fireballs and the length of the knockback is such that it's not uncommon to get knocked onto your ass again right after getting up, and actually getting close enough to whack the enemy is ridiculously annoying too.
The Black Shadow Clan in Ninja Gaiden Sigma. So fast that they even dodge the Flying Swallow half the time, exceptional health, always in packs, and whenever you try to kill one, one of his buddies throws an Explosive Shuriken at you - FROM OFF SCREEN. It's so satisfying to Izuna Drop those bastards.camdbz251They gave me problems my first time playing too, but after a while they're a joke... there is some fast decapation jump combo I always used on them to kill them quick, its been a while since I played the game though so I cant remember. Oh and ragnar and f1legend----- You can **** my weakspot for massive damage.

Those mutant things are much tougher that you face constantly near the end of the game, you know the ones that can shoot some kind of radioactive waste out of their mouths...
Anyway my most hated enemy in gaming is probably Sagat on the highest difficulty in SFII Turbo, most of the timeI had more difficulty beating him than M.Bison, and whenever he beats you he does that sadistic laugh...Itirritated me so bad, that when I was little I started crying one time.

I hate the jumping slimes, the ones that appears in the cemetery in Castlevania II,or the eagles from the 1st Ninja Gaiden.tequilero
Ha, I second those eagles. They were annoying as hell in the second one two. They actually took the time to program them into really bad spots. Always near some big jumps. Especially in the last level. I'll add the balloon flood, the spiders in RE2 in the sewer(could hear them but the crazy camera angles prevented you from seeing them). Oh and those fast little jumping guys from Ninja Gaiden 2 were bad too.
